Astir Grow Led Panel Project...

6 panels?
Isn't that too much?

Since you have 3 plants you could leave one plant for some days with only 1 panel and the other two plants with 2 panels to test how they're going

Com'on...
We used to grow with 400 Watts ,at same stage....
137 Watts it's pretty ok...
Afterall, they aren't the most efficient of leds...Just cheapos...

Some Infra Red photography...
- Old 5Mpixel compact digital camera ,with IR cut-out filter (in front of sensor) removed .
- Scrapyard found,glass filter-IR pass only-
(dark red ,so dark that looks black...Sun almost visible as deep red dot ,through it.. ),for headlight mounting .
50s'-60's probably military issue ,for night vision systems ,on armoured personnel carriers...

Exposure : 30' at F 5.6

What do you see is IR " light "over the 700 nm ,emitted by the white leds...
Not visible by the human eye...
And reflected by plants....
While, absorbed ,pretty much ,from everything else around.....
Ok...Mylar,reflects it also...
( Notice the reds ,how low " luminosity " they have...Not much NIR there.... )
..

Do u have a temp controller for the L.E.D room or you're following the weather's temp ?

Weather's temps...

Ferts -as always- the same...

- MILLER Nutrient Express 18-18-18
- " Sugar Express 4-10-40
- YARA Krista K plus ( KNO[SUB]3 [/SUB])
-DCM ZeewierKalk Maerl

- E 330 ( Citric Acid )

- MgSO[SUB]4[/SUB]

Thankfully, all 4 are females. took clones from led and largest from HOT5, plus have pollen for F2.

Pics 1-2 are from led tent. She is now 26"+. I move the light bar around each day to provide better coverage

Pic 3 is from HOT5. Note 3 totally different expressions of F1 cross. The one on left has no side branches; Middle has side branches from bottom to half way up. The one on the far right looks most like the mother, only 2 ft shorter. Hoping for a bunch of 6"+ colas from her

TY ,my brother...
Well..
Unfortunately, the WR was pretty ruined plant...
So ,it didn't yield much...
Just a mere 20 gr ...(trimmed from leaves/stems & dried )
( Although ,the quality -potency,aroma,taste -was extraordinary...Way better than HPS ...)
The next grow with WR,will be much better,I trust...

So i ended up going with this for the driver. I'm going to install 2 per panel running 12 3W LED's each driver, 24 LED's in total per panel. I'm also waiting on heatsinks from heatsinkusa.com. Can't wait for this to final come to fruition, pun intended ;)

6th week of flowering. things are going great.. enjoy the pics...

Seems that 6 panels of 22-23 Watt are doing the job, just fine...

Ganja2,what do ya think ?
My hard guess is somewhere at 140-180 gr...

If you get that ,we can assume that even cheapo-asian ( white, mainly ) leds ,are better than HPS/ MH,regarding both quality and quantity.....
And that the "combo" : multiple panels-wide angle -1watters - mainly warm whites ,
consists a pretty decent way to utilise leds in a small scale, controlled environment ....

In one word ....
Bingo!

Great work ,brother ...
