will te buds be starting to feel lightly crisp at only about 3 days drying time? or is it drying to fast?
my drying conditions are 72-78 degrees and 44-55% RH

Temp looks good, but an rh closer to 60% would slow things down for ya...

3 days seems fast unless you live in a desert region of the country...where I live it around 5-7 daze

im in northern cali, it isnt like real crispy, but i can just feel the very tips are starting to crunch...

If you can, take the harvest into the bathroom when you shower, try to get some moisture back. Three days is crazy fast. How is the smell, grassy?

Is it on the branch still? Makes a big difference. If they've been off the branch for 3 days then I'd put them in a jar for a night to get started.

I'm in so.Cal and am having the same problem.
Mine ( whole plants ) are crispy after only 5 days.
I'm curious too.

When my buds feel that way I put them in jars with hygrometer and burp 'till I reach 60 to 55% humidity.

Nor cal and in the past that's always been a problem. I always left them on branches and hung on hangers in a closet and kept the door closed. First time I did it a cracked the door and had a fan going, they were crumbly within a day.

Since then even keeping the door closed with no fan, I had to jar them within three days or they were too dry to cure

i have the same problem. If the stems snap at all or the outsides of the buds are crunchy, i would throw them in a jar for a night and check them in the morning, then maybe leave the jar open for the day and close again at night. It has worked for me

Did you do a complete trim before hanging or what? You can throw it in a paper bag for a couple days before jars.

I do this, from a high times article I read when I was a kid: Side note: I am in a very dry region and plant will be dry to the touch in 2-3 days always. So if they are dry and crispy as you say on the ouside but stem does not snap yet, which is good, start cutting them down and place in a plastic bag from the grocery store and poke holes in the plastic bag, then place inside a paper or card board box. I let them sit like this for up to a week sometimes then I jar or bag seal. I like the plastic because you do not lose as much trichomes and keep the buds looking as good as you can. The evaporation from the bud will seep through the plastic holes and yet keep more of the moisture and go to the paper bag or box. I really do not like throwing buds straight to paper, they dry way to fast here for that. In the south probably not as much.

i trimmed it up like maybe 80%. i was going to finish up the trim before i put into jars.

for the rest of my plants i might have to only take the fan leafs and then trim after its dry...

Don't let them get any drier...if you are at less than 55%rh, it's gonna near impossible to get any cure going...

Well i put them in jars for the night. I am hoping it will bring some moisture back... i do have a hygrometer in each of the two jars... what should i do when i check them in the morning? Id really like to dry a couple more days before curing ...
