They look so good, patience is a virtue! I am checking mine everyday until I see enough of those amber trichs.

Well I will push back my projected harvest dae a couple more weeks. I actually trust you guys' judgement on the matter a bit more than the site . First I hear that they tend to harvest their buds earlier than North American growers. Plus they know nothing about my temps or the details of my grow as you guys know. The new projected harvest date is January 12, but I will still have to reserve final judgement for harvesting any day prior to that. From now on it is molasses and water or straight water. am still in the home stretch. Jan 12 is actually the day after I quit my McJob and start working my career job! I am on my third and last day off this week and I took this last opportunity to flush and put in that molasses.

You were right curb! it smells horrid.. but it tastes mighty fine!

Flowering has been going for 6weeks and 3 days and I'm looking at 3weeks and 4 days left. Johnnie has had her first experience with molasses and seems to have appreciated it. The buds are getting bigger and, strangely the internodal spaces are stretching a bt though the lights have only gotten closer. I have once again redone the ventilation and the results were promising. The room was reasonably warm and I opened the grow box to find a pleasant temp! I removed the reflective flap from the front of the box and made a much smaller concave flap of cardboard wrapped with mylar. This was to increase the piddly air exchange that my tiny fan can create and with a tarp I have doubled the air space related to the grow and still got light leaks covered! My lavender and basil plants are doing well three clones are in the works and a mother that will have to retire early due to size. With all this time to catchup on menial tasks that piled up during school I have time to think up many new ways of growing more, different strains... z lock got me thinking. An old milk crate and 5 sawed-off, 2-liter drink bottles could be good for dealing with what to plant and when. Thanks for starting it in motion, Z! Pics will be on sunday to let me finish up this week's work and working and let you see the changes over a week.

Glad to have inspired you! DrBud (Don't know if he's on these forums) is the one who inspired me, as well as dozens of other people that I've seen. Not to say that he's the one who invented that kind of grow set-up, but he certainly showed what can be done in very little space without ever having to go to a hydro store or buy anything fancy.
I may be getting a few clones at some point soon, so I may have some green in my growbox sooner than I expected, but A.I. is still gonna be the star of my first batch of seeds!
I'm anxious to see how yours finish up, you've got me all excited, haha

you did good hackel! the truth is you can never really trust those harvest estimates from the breeders. even if they say 8 weeks different phenotypes can cause diff harvest times and as you said your environment is special :). i think we can all agree you made a great choice moving your harvest date back, and i guarantee you will not regret it bro

Bitti! Thanks for the encouraging words, man. I looked in on my baby to find that I must have become a little overzealous with nutes. Usually, I wait every other watering to nute but I had just gotten the molasses and figured that it wouldn't hurt to add some fish emulsion to it as well. Came in to find that most of my leaves have at least 30% burns. I think that all the damage that is going to be done has been done and I will wait til after my next watering to give any more molasses. I was also kind of down about having to go an extra 2 weeks with no weed. So I doubly appreciate it!

One whole month... I think I will just save some of my scraps for 'just in case.' BX, you will be happy to know that I fully plan to employ patience with this grow however long this plant takes to finish up and I will not be trying to cheat nature by dropping the light cycle to 14/10 or less. Johnnie can take her precious time. And when she's done... I'm gonna tar dat pussy up!

Stilltokin, There is no penalty for lateness. We are always glad to gather more feedback, growing plans, and suggestions!

Just a random question. How much do you guys usually smoke in one sitting?
I couldn't say for sure but I am thinking I go with .25-.5g with it probably leaning closer to .25g.

Well, the graduation ceremony was this morning and so it is officially official... I am a nurse. I just gotta scrape together the cash to take my NCLEX and then money will get a lot less tight! To counter that though, in the next 48 hours I will spend 24 of them at work. Yet anothe reason why pics have to wait til sunday. lol

Take care of your grows and enjoy the fruits of your labor!

Sounds good! I will be posting harvesting pics in the next week or two.
I'm saving front row seats for the event! I noticed how much those calyxes can swell when they do! I think I like that part even more than watching seedlings get started and then take off. I can hardly wait!

man that sux you overfed the girl, you should immediately flush and just give it water from there on. i had that happen to one of my girls outside in the summer but it was more like 70% of the leaves were burnt. it got stunted for about 2 weeks before it came back. your case seems like its less damaged so prolly 3-4 days stunted if you give her a good flush. great luck bro and always here to give you my opinion

hey, i have recently ordered a pack of AI because ive grown Sativas all my life(outside) and I wanted to have a nice sturdy indica indoor grow. Im gonna be using 150 watts of cfls for veg and then my 400hps for flower. Looks like a beautiful plant----good luck with that nute burn that plant is so healthy it will recover soon i hope

I most certainly will be flushing as soon as possible, though I have to wait until sunday morning for that. I am on hour 6 of a 16 hour shift, and I will be needing the services of a bed shortly after that, I am certain.

Tokin, I would love to have the freedom to grow sativas outside I have some leftover seeds from my last purchase. it was swag, but I am almost positive that if I give it some better love and attention than it had apparently gotten, It might turn out to be some really good stuf and I definitely find the high to be extremely useful. I have just scrounged up enough, I think, to buy one of those handy-dandy inline fans. Soon I can afford some plywood and after I rustle up some unwanted nails I found at work I can build a nice, though less stealthy (for now) grow box that has MUCH better ventilation and more floorspace to grow in SOG fashion. With multiple smaller pots I will not have to rely so much on heavily LSTing and I can just plant seeds instead of wasting all that electricity trying to maintain a mother and clones... Much easier, and cheaper, to let nature replenish my genetics...:fire: Maybe I can have Johnnie O be the matron of some amazing hybrid generations! Still dreaming big on a small budget. lol
Well gotta get back to work.

Well, It seems as if the leaf damage is considerably less significant in todays photos than they were when it happened. I would assume that the perceived amount of damage has decreased due to rather big gains in leaf number and size.

The trichs are coming along rather slowly, but with 3 weeks left, the have even more time to arrive in full force. I know, now at least, definitively what nute burn looks like and I must say... this rather mild case ( I may not have mentioned that the majority of the burns happened to the leaves in the basin. The wreath, however is almost entirely unaffected.) left little streaks of solid or spotted burn marks which were actually quite attractive! Like tragic racing stripes...

Well you can see that the colas are lengthening and getting much leafier and everynow and again I notice more hairs peeking out from the lower portions of 9 of what are loking like they will end up being about 4-6 inches long each. Enjoy the close ups!

Hackel, to be honest, I don't think those buds will be done in three weeks, but the lady is looking great!

Hey, man! Ya'll if you have ever wondered why I would name my plant Johnnie O, you have just read a post by the member my plant is named after. He was the supplier of the bit of reassurance I needed to get my own grow started.

Thanks for stopping in to have a looksie!

Aww... More drudging through the land of cannabis drought. I have a smattering of kief as well as some herb clogged between the tines and screen of my grinder and about 2 1/2 bowls worth of some really fine leftovers pressed down from all the weight of the times of excess that I enjoyed over the course of this semester and last summer. Either way, I am totally ok with waiting more than 3 weeks if I have to. Bxke, what are the landmarks that you use to judge the estimated time remaining until harvest?

I knew that the temp being too high woudl cause the buds to be smaller than they should normally be, but doesn it also extend flowering times?

Stressing can increase the time it takes to flower, but I wouldn't be too worried, I really have noticed the most fattening in the last 2 week time period. Here is a comparison shot for you, roughly 11/26 the hairs first started to turn orange (first pic) and the 2nd pic is from 12/19.

Looks good man!
I'm still waiting for my seeds to show up, but in the mean time I was gifted 3 girls from a friend of mine, U.K. Cheese, Jorges Diamonds, and Celtic Hash! Talk about a nice early christmas present! haha
I'm still just as excited to get started with the Aurora Indica though, and seeing your pictures only make me more anxious!
