I have never heard of them before so it didnt hurt.
I dont spend as much time in forums etc anymore. Or chasing the next best inovation like i used to either.
Used to spend as much a i made trying new things and buying new lights etc. These days I'm not really interested unless im expanding or replacing something that broke.
The truth is when i crunched the numbers on making my own leds i found if i wanted to match the output of my 630w set up I pretty much had to use about the same wattage in leds.
Almost every led manufacturer was trying to say i could use like half the power.
Those guys recommend for my space about 700w which i totally agree with. Its refreshing to see some honestly in the industry.
if you need 700w of leds you could be running 900-1100w of hid if you’ve got temp control down pat. Good leds produce more photons per watt than hids with a much better and even spread across the canopy. Downside of leds is no IR so you have to keep an eye on leaf temps.
if I was replacing hid lights I’d replace 600w hid with 450w of led and 1000w of hid with 6-700w led.
