Gday, Im in Perth and my plant also hasnt budded yet so im wondering about it as well.
It was planted mid september and has been outside all the while.
I remember ages ago my mate saying the general rule for bushies is .... "put em in at the end of footy season ... and out at the start of footy season"
Nab cup starts next week so im getting a little anxious now... and not about the footy btw cos both eagles and dockers are bottom eight material this year.
Daylight is still over 13.5 hrs long here btw.
Here are a couple of pics i just took of it

i agree that is getting rep worthy :):weed::clap::clap: nice and healthy looking well done

Yeah cup day or AFL grand final day used to be the best time to plant but I think lately you can even plant it a few weeks earlier than that coz the seasons have changed a little bit.

One time I got a lot of green catapilars living in my plants and cocooning under the leaves. They didnt really bother me coz they only ate the leaves but when harvesting you had to keep an eye out for them otherwise youd be chopping through them lol

Gday again, i never set out to write such a long post but i got started, stoned and thought fark it i might as well tell my whole story since i bothered joining this forum. Its taken me a few hrs, a few sittings and at least half a dozen billys to complete. So sorry if its real long and bores some of you.

Cheers to those who thought my plant looks good, but is the plant gonna bud or not?
Any ideas on if, when, and how long it should bud for?
I kinda hoped it would yield quite a few nice buds, cos its looked pretty good and healthy for at least month and a half now.
Its my first time growing a plant so i never expected much, just sprouted the seed, put it in a pot, sat it on the lawn where it got max sun, and just watered it regularly with some random fertilising of it every so often.
When it really started to grow ...it REALLY started to grow, mid November i reckon shortly after i transferred it from a smaller pot to the current pot.
After that it grew off chops for about a month, if you looked at it in the morning and then in the arvo you could see it had grown and bushed up a lot during the day. The trunk of the plant went from being less than the diameter of a 5 cent coin to over that of a 50 cent coin in that time.

When i mentioned earlier that i fertilised it randomly, It really meant that I went totally random. I used few different types of liquid type fertilisers, thrive, seasol, maxicrop seawood etc, watered it in and sprayed it on the foliage bout once a week(spraying tended to give the leaf tips a bit of a burn, prob needed to dilute it a bit more). One week i watered it everyday with thrive cos i was prob too bent and read the packet wrong, meant to be once a fortnight ... dint seem to harm it at all cos it was strong & growing fast .. could have helped it even.
One other random thing i did was when i re-potted the plant i came up with the idea of giving it a "fruit boost", its an idea i conjured up myself totally being real bent again. Before i re-potted, in the new pot i put a layer of potting mix, then a thin layer of manure, then i thinly chopped up a couple of pears, apples, mushed up some kiwifruit, a peach, some mango skins and layered it in the pot (it was a decent layer), then on top i put another thin layer of manure again. After that i put the plant from the old pot on top and filled the rest of the pot with potting mix. Couple of days after the plant grew outta control. Being my first grow i have no real idea how much it helped or not, but imo it must have a bit at least. The plant was smelling really fruity like i thought but its not as evident now. Any thoughts?

Finally, even though i have since found out its the wrong thing to do, on the advice of my mate during the stage when it was growing hard I heavily trimmed back the leaves on 3 separate occassions. After each trim the plant looked substantially bare but within 3-4 days it had grown back bushy again. Last trim was mid december after that i found out it was wrong to do so and stopped doing it. To let you know how much i actually cut off.. this may spin some out ... i ended up with 10.5 ounces /300 grams of dried leaf. Thats a fair bit of leaf ... check out the pic. Did this fark the plant completely? Is it why it hasnt budded? Since then i have simply watered it and fertilised it once a week till now.
Let me know what u all reckon and most importantly issit gonna bud?
Cheers and ave a good weekend.

Its not necessarily wrong to trim it but it explains y its so freakin bushy and yeh it could be a contributing factor as t y it hasnt flowered yet along with the long aussie days, but dont worry it will happen naturally.Although u can force it to flower by puttin it in complete darkness 12hrs a day for bout 1-2 weeks, maybe u can put it in ur garage or cover it with sum tarps if u can. Also ull wanna get urself sum ferts with a higher Phosphorous & Potassium ratio than Nitrogen.
Hope summa that helped.
P.S thats a fuckload of leaf.

Anybody know a easier way to force flower? Like putting it somewhere in a room where it receives light for 12hours then sorta gets blackened out when sun moves?

Would this be possible? Such a hassle having to move them in and out everyday.

and its soo small...my camera wont pick it up...but i can see it.
thanks
