WELL WELL WELL!
where to start this one......
OK, we got a dehumidifier, because the humidity outside was beginning to skyrocket, making the grow room (which does use some filtered outside air) humidity do the same. The dehumidifier helps keep the humidity down to 40%, which is perfect for us, and if we keep it on the lowest setting, it does it's job without influencing the temp to much.
As for the advice about dropping nighttime temps, it was welcome advice, but we had been dropping temps at night for a couple weeks already, and sure enough.... the combination of low nighttime temps, shorter days and fixing the CaMg problems worked!!
The buds have noticeably plumped up and put on serious weight since the last set of photos. also, the hairs on ALL the buds are turning lovely brown and beginning to recede on most. trichomes are almost all cloudy now, with not to many amber (1-2% as far as i can tell with the 30x scope) so we are definitely on the cusp
just a rundown:
daytime temps run between 79F and 81F
at night it drops to 67F-68F
day and nighttime humidity levels are anywhere from 38%-43%
started full flush yesterday, using a flushing agent and ph adjusted RO water
plants now range in height from 3'-4' respectively
and main colas range from 7"-11" high and from 2.5"-5" in diameter
every plant we have now has over 20 harvestable bud sites, some as many as 40!
SO..... I re-potted the larger clones and we used a topping technique we found on this site to get 3-4 main colas per plant, it worked fabulously as is evident in the photos to follow, and in anticipation of our move and flowering mommy when we do.... we started supercropping her. (bending the heck out of her intentionally, in order for all the potential cola-producing branches to get enough light and air space). That is working great too!
pics are of top colas of both strains, side buds of both strains, mommy, gen 1 clones and gen 2&3 clones
by the way, this upload feature scrambles the order of the photos, and i couldnt do anything about it.... sorry
enjoy, and tell us what you think
