B&K's First Grow-LED and T5 HO Floro 30 Plants-10 The Dope-20 Endless Sky

FUCK!!!

That was A TON of trimming!!!

Bonnie and I worked all day trimming, taking down the lights, putting up the lines and drying rack, resetting the room conditions and hanging bud after bud after bud :)

And the harvest was a bountiful one......

Dr. Greenthumb's The Dope yielded 2.75 pounds wet (and very finely trimmed, virtually NO stem weight that wont end up in the bag)

Dr. Greenthumb's Endless Sky yielded 5.35 pounds wet (also very finely trimmed with no stems left on that wont go in the final bag)

Remember, we flowered 9 DOPE plants, and 21 ENDLESS SKY plants.

That means that each DOPE plant yeilded an average of about 5 oz. wet.

And each ENDLESS SKY, about 4 oz. wet.

Not to mention we got another 2 lbs. 4.1 oz. of great trim (wet) which we will add to our 2 or 3 pounds of pretty good trim and 10+ pounds of crap trim to make A SHIT TON of amazing hash and some kick ass honey oil.

The drying room is set at a constant 61 degrees, and a RH of about 45 %. There are 2x16" fans, 1x12" fan, 3x6" fans, the A/C is set on high, and the hepa filters are set on high, also the 4" canfan with the 4x12" phresh filter is turned all the way up, we have the humidifier in there set to come on if the RH drops below 38% and the dehumidifier is set to come on at 50%.

The buds on the rack will be turned twice daily and the lights stay off almost 24 hours a day. We're gonna let these girls dry for 6-7 days and put em straight into the jars for another 1-2 months. We'll give the dry weights at the end of the week, I'm hoping that since we trimmed this way this time, (got rid of all the unnecessary twigs, usually used for hanging) that we will end up with 25% or a little more, of the wet weight. but whatever we end up with, we're completely satisfied.....

here's the whole trim from start to finish......:leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:

hope you all enjoy :)

Beautiful! :-)

i bought a couple of awesome LEDs from hydrogrowled.com

you should definitely check them out if you're looking to buy anymore LED lights

they are really nice and and will make you custom LEDs if you ask nicely :-)

FROM Klyde:

just a note on the density and ripeness of the bud we just harvested....

while most of the top buds were pretty dense and definitely ripe, there was an overwhelming amount of underdeveloped buds that just didn't have enough room to grow to full potential.... ALL of these under developed buds went right into the trim basket....

Also, we noticed that The Dope plants have a GREAT bud to leaf ratio, and the endless sky plants had ten times the amount of leaves that the dope did. the dope, because of the lack of excess foliage, produced more bud per plant. also, the bud the dope did produce is WAY more dense and heavy than the ES.

thought you all might want a report

cheers!

CONGRATS!!! I missed a lot I know but I've been crazy busy with a new job. Still got my Dope plants but way behind you guys. How does the smell of the two strains compare? That's what is most important to me when growing out a new strain. Strong smell usually means strong flavor and strong high. Awesome job on the grow!

Neither strain seems to be that strong smelling but Dope seems to be stronger, fruitier, and sweeter. Neither is really overwhelming though, I noticed that as they dry their smell gets a little stronger but still not nearly as strong as we were expecting. ES seems to be spicier and less fragrant.

Thank you for the compliment on the grow.

Great jobs guys proud of you!!!! can wait to see the next grow now that you have that under your belt!! looking at your buds personaly i would have went a few weeks longer but i do know you are on a time frame!!! once again great job!! plus rep!!

what was the trichom amber to cloudy percentage when you cut them down?

Nice haul!!!

Got Hash???

From Bonnie:

Amber 5% Cloudy 95%
We made hash but it is definitely a learning process, we weren't all that impressed. We made butter 2 nights ago and cookies last night. For the last 18 hours we have been hallucinating, we are finally able to put thoughts and phrases together again....guess I made them kinda strong ;)

We still feel stoned. We had never had canna cookies before and it was interesting to say the least. They had 1 1/2 cups of butter in the batch that made about 30. The butter was made using 2.4 ounces of the best oven dried trim we had. I remember on one post reading about a guy who couldn't make his brownies strong enough to work and I think that the key is to bake at a lower temp. If you don't keep it low enough then the resin glands burn off, it has to stay below 325 degrees.

I need to write that 325 number down for my woman

plus rep for you... thanks for the info

Thanks!

Your welcome, I read that somewhere a couple days ago thankfully. The box or recipe always calls for sweets to be baked at like 375, so if you don't know to turn the heat down it can be bad news. You just have to make sure you watch what your cooking and it will obviously have to cook longer.

So I thought I would post a couple pics of cookie making. The recipe was just off the butter package. I wasn't able to add in all the dry ingredients because the batter got too thick, which in turn I think left me without some of the needed baking powder and/or baking soda, so the cookies weren't as fluffy as they should have been but for the first time I think I did okay, seeing as how I am not much of a baker anyway. I wish I could send you guys some cookies and you could tell me what you think. Maybe someday! ;-)
