Banana Method?!?

I was just going to stick the whole apple in the cabinet with them. Maybe cut one in half to get it going and then a whole one too. I figured that the heat from the lights will jump them into decomposition.

I've already been sticking some lettuce in the pots with them. I figured it couldn't hurt and I was throwing those leaves away anyhow.
 
So,what are your expectations for the ethylene on the plants?I want to try it with the seeds..see if it really induces more female ratios...
 
I am going to try making fem seeds with apples and bananas (not together) and see what kind of success rate I have. I will post the results when I get them. Someone else will probably beat me to it since I'm in the middle of a project :wink:.

calm down douce bag. i did do my homework and theres no proof suggesting this works. ive tried similar ways to germinate too..

I thought so bitch,it might work..ethylene has alot of valuable prpeoerties
 
a girl asked me about the Banana Method once. i had to put down the cucumber to tell her it wasnt hygienic.
 
i'll try it with apples instead, i'll start putting the apples in with the seeds december forst, and leave them there for about a month

this is funny...........show me i piece of actual documented evedence that this works with mj..
not cucumbers or other things, that means nothing unless that what your groing.
mj dont grow the same or need the same care or nutrients so you are comparing apples to oranges and saying they are the same.
it may help growth, i cant say but i can pretty confidently say it will have no effect on the seed.
but i have only been doing this for 20 odd years so i wouldn`t have enough experience to give an opinion.
and thats all this is.(opinion)
 
science also takes years to prove and there is always someone dissproving to.

The way I see it,there has been ATLEAST one serious growe on here who SWEARS by the banana method.No noobie,someone with around a couple thousand posts,claiming that hes donw the banana method for 4 years,and they have ALWAYS given 100% females...so its worth a try..also there are alot of products out there like SensaSoak,which contain ethylene as a main ingredient,and Im sure ths cant be coincident...
 
all seeds work the same way so saying that it is unproved or not similar is retarded. other plants need nutes too, all plants. just because you personally give it to them doesn't mean shit. Doesn't matter if it is a cucumber seed, or any other veg or tree. Using ethylene on them is always beneficial, it makes the seed viable. Now as to this making female seeds is partly un proven but proven in the seed world. So dont discredit something you don't know about or haven't tried yourself extensively.

Excellent point my friend...I hate people that always bash or are quick to say a certain method doesnt work..who knows if it actaully does..also,ethylene will kake the seeds more viable,and can imporve germ raes for older seeds...and its uses in farming is to reipen plants faster..so it might actually cut down the flowering time to mabout 7 weeks..who knows??
 
and i also am tired of people jumping down some elses throat and calling them a retard for not agreeing with what they say.
think about that.
i dont think i ever said it wont work, only that i have not seen enough proof to convince me to tell others it 100% works.
do believe i said i didn`t have the experience in that subject to say if it did or not
