Regardless of your gullibility, the Colorado Bankers Association thinks otherwise and the DOJ memo says otherwise. Colorado banks ain't gonna be laundering money until Congress passes a law explicitly making it legal to do business with cannabis dealers. The DOJ memo is a dead letter.
<edit> Let me expand on this a bit. The DOJ memo is a dead letter and it is not going to entice bankers to engage in conduct that is a federal felony. What the DOJ memo might accomplish, though, is to force congress to act to make it legal for bankers to deal with cannabis dealers. In that sense the DOJ memo is a good thing. The structure of the war on drugs is crumbling as we speak.

7% that MC/Visa charges per transaction (that was my fee for using their portal) adds up to millions slipping thru the bankers fingers at the dispensary level.
At one time they may have thought they were on the moral high ground by refusing service but no more, it all comes down to profit.
