Looks very nice.. Wish my dog cuts were that green. But ive been lacking lately :/
The hash was from a bunch of different trim. I let it dry out and then put it in a blender for 5 seconds :) Then through my 250 screen. Very surprised at the quality. Was gonna put it through a 190 bag but its very good as is. Just made a bong mix of the worst of it. Awesome.

I gave my Doggy as good of a nanner check as I could, and
I saw none. We will see. I really needed to spread this plant
out better, but I am happy to be trying it.

BTW, while I am not sure which plant is the root cause, it does
seem that my carbon filter may be starting to fail. I am getting
whiff outside the house. Very small, but I have no tolerance.

I use a 6"X24" filter, and it will cost > $150 to replace.

It did work for more than a year.

I will cut it open and use the carbon in my soil building.

Try and repack it with walmart carbon first, worth a $12 shot... for 2 containers. My filter has screws actually but even if it was riveted Id drill them out and replace them with screws on the reassembly!

The thing is that the carbon pellets that I found for my first, DIY, filter
were not cheap enough to make up for the difference in performance.

...but I am going to cut it open and see what format the carbon is in.
If I can find a similar product, at a decent price, then I would love to
do what you are suggesting.

The pellets I tried previously were cheap and intended for aquariums.

I am imagining that the form factor might affect the effectiveness
of the material. I am interested in the pellet size of the material
used by the commercial filter makers.

If plain old charcoal is effective, then this would be interesting.

Thanks!

it is i read it in an interview with a grower in Adam in the late 90's. He cleaned the air for a two room apt. grow with only regular charcoal.

My .02, regular lump charcoal is the same substance as "active charcoal", a nice form can be purchased in larger bags of smaller chunk material perfect for amending soil mixes and for refilling or fabricating odor control at most gardening stores.

I have to admit that I am not well versed in the varieties...

...I hear the word "lump" and it could be "piece", "blob", or "chunk",
but I get the impression that it means something specific. :0)

Thanks for taking the time!

it is just that lumps of coals. briquettes are ground up and molded together and you loose the hollow spaces that trap the water and odor particles.

LOL, thanks to you both.

I got pelletized carbon. It worked well, but not nearly as well
as my store bought unit. My bad I am sure.

That is what I use if I use any. I always have a couple of bags in my drying area by the door just to absorb smell and my whole house smells if I don't. My friend has his whole set-up exhausting in his living room for heat with it stubbed up in a trash can with wholes and filled with busted up lump charcoal. He is single and lives way in the woods. With this being said, The dog stunk my whole house up no matter what I tried short of an actual charcoal filter. And drying a pound of the dog, I'm real glad the gf didn't have to teach that week. My mailbox is a good American Football field away from my house, and it smelled like my house did in October at the mail box. Lovely problems to have. Another 6 weeks and gf will be on spring break so I can harvest worry free again.:hump:
