How is his comment about "prison makes men gay" taken out of context ?
You'll have to ask one of his supporters for that excuse.

IT is not backpedaling to explain your stance on the issues.

No jumping on the bed.

DAMMIT MOM! why wont you let me have any fun??? You have no good reason to tell me that!!

Ever consider that full recreational legalization shouldn't be our priority when the nation is so entrenched in debt?

Decriminalization is the next step. Not full legalization. That would be an uphill battle right now.

You should be worried about our economy. Fixing the economy will make it so more people can work and provide for their families.
So legalization won't have an effect on improving our economy? Not wasting tax dollars prosecuting people over a plant won't help our economy?

Colorado possession charges were around 2,500 in 2014. Down nearly 30,000 since 2010 while they brought in over 40 million dollars in one year off marijuana tax but yea legalization can't help our economy...

To help keep this thread on point, I have a question. Do men who go to prison come out gay? Does prison make you gay ? Carson seems to think so and we all know you are the goto guy for life in prison.

You seem pretty interested. :hump:

Then why do the mods keep deleting my posts to you?
Mods are incompetent, prejudice? I've been a mod. The RIU mods delete (censor) posts for the wrong reasons. Well, if you're an RIU control freak and don't like what you're reading because it doesn't align with your ideology - delete it. A very dangerous precedent not unlike the plays of Nazi Germany.

Speaking of free speech.....back to Carson who will not go down without a fight:

Dear American,

Only one business in America is protected by the Constitution -- the press. This is because the press was supposed to be an ally of the people, informing them in a nonpartisan way.

Sadly the press has been recklessly abusing this privilege.

Over the past weeks I've come under relentless attack. Nearly every word I've said has been twisted and spun. In some cases, blatant lies have been told about what I believe.

As a black Republican, I know I don't fit the traditional mold, and I'm a threat to the liberal order. Because of the color of my skin, I'm supposed to think a certain way. Sorry, but that's racism.

If we stop allowing politicians to divide us, stop giving away our values in the name of political correctness, and just apply some common sense, I know we can save this nation for our children and our grandchildren. I'm running for President to lead that movement.

I refuse to act like a politician and say whatever I need to say to get elected. I will speak the truth regardless of what the media and the PC police say is "controversial." It's time for honesty.

Here's the truth -- the 2nd Amendment isn't about hunting. It's about protecting ourselves, our family, and liberty.

Marriage is between one man and one woman. No one has the right to change that.

Every life is precious and worth protecting. This doesn't mean you're waging a war on women.

As a compassionate society we have a responsibility to take care of the less fortunate. The government's job is to break down any barriers to opportunity and individual empowerment, not to promise "free" this or "free" that, and lock people in a state of dependency. If we continue on our current path, we will rob a whole generation of their God-given right to pursue happiness, and run out of money in the process.

These are the things I believe. I will keep saying them, unapologetically, over and over again.

The press is attacking me because they see my momentum. I can win the Republican nomination, and I can defeat whoever the Democrats nominate in a general election.

I believe we have a country to save. We don't have time to be bullied by the purveyors of division, the PC police, or a dishonest press.

Sincerely,

The federal government is not going to flip on Marijuana so easily. Maybe in 5 -10 years after a couple more states legalize recreational.

Thats because we keep voting the same people into the federal govt that don't see the drug war as a failure. To them it is a financial gain to keep it going, why quit making money?
Fixing the economy and justice reform can be handled without 1 taking precedence over the other. At least my candidate knows that  feel the bern

About 16.4 million people have gained health insurance coverage since the Affordable Care Act became law nearly five years ago

http://kff.org/medicaid/issue-brief/how-is-the-aca-impacting-medicaid-enrollment/

Medicaid and CHIP enrollment had increased by over 4.8 million people

Of course he does. You'll feel "the burn" alright. ;)

deez nuts......
Ya could at least put a real number on it if you wanted to slam bernie, smh. The meme just makes you look stupid as shit though imo because 90% is a ridiculous number that isn't even close to reality....

Math obviously isn't your strong suit, as it doesn't seem to be with most right wing economists who say bernie's plan is just impossible.

It would pay dividends before your old crusty as was in the ground I bet!

Your candidate is a loon, as are the rest. Add in a touch of corruption and incompetence and you have the perfect recipe for fruitcake.

"You go back to the very first chapter in the Bible -- and I’m not a hard and fast person who says the Earth is only 6,000 years old -- but I do believe in the six-day creation,” he said.

“It says, in the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth,” continued Dr. Carson. “It doesn’t say when He created them except for in the beginning. The Earth could have been here for a long time before he started creating things on it.”

That 90% number was from an interview he did with CNBC. He didn't call for it, but he didn't take it off the table either.
http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2015/05/26/3662773/sanders-90-percent-tax/

In an interview with CNBC’s John Harwood, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who is running for the Democratic presidential candidacy, said he could back a 90 percent top marginal tax rate.

Harwood brought up that some have likened efforts to combat income inequality to Nazi Germany. Sanders noted sarcastically, “When radical, socialist Dwight D. Eisenhower was president, I think the highest marginal tax rate was something like 90 percent.”

Harwood followed up by asking, “When you think about something like 90 percent, you don’t think that’s obviously too high?” to which Sanders replied, “No.”
