Gutting Citizens United would be nice.
But you needed Hillary to staff SCOTUS, not the neanderthal that squeaked in there with less votes.
The collateral damage from this guy will cause problems for decades. We have to keep these people out, not bicker about Hillary's donors.
If I was running, I'd take corporate money. Then I'd fuck them with policy. It's been done before, you aren't exactly signing a contract.

The supreme court route is an unviable option now. Gorsuch will probably be confirmed under Trump giving the court back a conservative majority, so the only way to get rid of Citizens United and the other cases that allow the corporate influence of money in politics is through congress. Can't do that if the corporatists control the policy. So, the only way I see this happening is if these people are removed from their positions and replaced by actual progressives who will support campaign finance reform

-gay marriage, majority dont care, but also dont want it crammed in their face
-lgbt rights, majority dont care, but also dont want to hear about the feelings of 2% of the population. feelings arent legislative
-abortion, majority pro choice, also somewhat of a generational/religion thing
-infrastructure, majority want better roads, bridges, dams, etc ( but...environmentalists sure dont!!)

The Chump is a master of media manipulation, there's no arguing that. Shillary was as interesting as gnawing on fenceposts, but that doesn't change the fact that the Chump was still outspent in dollar terms 2:1.
So what does your idea of campaign finance reform look like?
Mr Sanders' campaign certainly proved that grassroots finance is a force to be reckoned with.
Think about it this way; 100 million voters times $100 each still adds up to a $10 BILLION campaign season!
The only difference is that the Exxons and Sheldon Adelsons of the world won't be able to put their thumbs on the scale and tip the balance anymore.
