Best grow method for sog?

I’m considering a switch up to a high density sog setup.

I have a low ceiling issue so ideally I need moveable tables that I can move about if I need to gain access to the grow and for planting up.

I considered flood and drain but the height restriction would be an issue for the gravity drain.

I like the idea of drain to waste for this reason my waste pipe can be in the floor.

My only issue with coco is disposing of so much coco every grow but I’m open to the idea of buying the bricks and possibly burning the dried coco at the end of the grow.

I’m looking for first hand experiences with coco. Is it worth me switching to it? How would you design your tables to ensure the plants aren’t overwatered and also to conserve water wastage. I’m hoping I can get away with a lot smaller size reservoir this way?

Any other recommendations are welcome I’ll read up on any method or idea you guys give

Floor space will be approximate 4.5m x 3.7m. Plants filling this entire area and I move them back and forth to get access

I dont grow in cocoa...you have to throw it away like used soil? I thought you guys just rinsed, rebuffed and reused? I did not know that.

Honestly not sure I don’t grow in coco atm. I’m considering the switch. I think it would be a PITA to remove roots from 100kg or more of coco..

Probably comparably similar price tbh. But coco may not be my best option. Rockwool blocks may also be viable just looking for people’s experience to guide my decision

For flood and drain SoG I am a fan of 6 inch square pots and hydroton. Flood long enough to reach full depth every 4 hours when lights are on.

Wash the hydroton really well, the clay dust causes the pH to rise. Wash and reuse. I had hydroton that I used for nearly a decade back in missouri.

How would it drain back to a resevoir with low ceiling height? I’d need my flood trays on the floor
How much height do you have to work with? Lighting type?

I always built my own reservoirs that are large capacity and only raise the tray a foot.

But yeah, if severe height limitations are an issue and you have a floor drain then you may end up wanting a top feed DTW setup with a floraflex setup.

Is the attic space insulated from the outside and living space or is it a "cold space"? Attics are the worst place to grow, not only height wise but heat wise as well.
6inch spray foam around the entire room completely sealed by me so I know it’s done right

Co2 generator installed and ac installed

If you live in a climate with freezing temperatures and the attic was designed originally as a cold space, you may end up with ice dam issues.
