Medicine Man and Laconte's, from my personal experience. Tiny clones at Medicine Man, and Laconte's had bad customer service with a poor selection, unless you reserve some (I never bothered). I've only ever had gnats, but they may have come from my soil, for all I know. Some white mold too, but that was unrelated to the clones and easily fixed (it was due to moving the grow). I wouldn't pay more than 15 for one, and I'd have to be sure of it at that price.
Tiny clones are easy to deal with if you're willing to grow them. Never buy something if you aren't sure of its roots and you should be fine; tiny-clone wise.
Bugs though. I guess maybe I've been lucky, but I don't see all the reason for the fuss. It's pretty easy to use the correct product to kill whatever infestation. Also, unless you have a thousand plants, it doesn't usually cost very much to fix whatever problem (the kind of weed you're growing should be worth 400 an OZ, after all). From ladybugs to neem oil and chemical-based pesticides, there are solutions. With a small grow, it isn't too difficult to go a little overkill with the product if you need to; make sure every individual plant is clear of the infestation and what not. If you do see mold on the clone, don't buy it.
That's definitely not a fail-safe philosophy, but avoid conditions that produce mold and the spores shouldn't be able to do their thing anyway (why I figure I've been lucky). Quarantine until you're sure, if you're worried about it. Either way, by the time the clone becomes a full-fledged, flower-laden plant, you should have had plenty of time to fix whatever problem.
If it's not worth fixing the problem, the clone must not have been worth the 10 or so dollars (why are you growing weed anyway?).
Smoke, smoke, and keep smoking the ganja. You'll find what you like. A lot of dispensaries sell clones. Some don't always have them in stock, but they'll sell them from time to time (ask the budtender). Grow what you like and, once again, smoke, smoke and keep smoking the ganja.
I guess I'm saying don't overthink it. See all that up there? I've overthought this post (wouldn't editing be redundant at this point?). All because of my damn homegrown. This is what my philosophy has brought me.
Oh yeah, I suppose I should reiterate that I didn't have any bug or mold infestations from Laconte's or Medicine Man.
Good luck!
