i say the very northern parts of cali and southern oregon is the best in the usa by far.
it has ideal temps and weather plus you can be legal out here

North Carolina. Perfect weather, slightly humid, but you can combat that by growing strains more on the Sativa side. Harvests as late as December are possible in some areas of the state. Look at any chart and we produce more bud than any other state other than California.

this thread is really kind of not usefull at all cuz every one is gonna vote for theri state. i am in oregon and i know it produces top notch, some of the cheapest, and the most weed and i know cali and washington does to. i dont know how it reallt is in other states, but i do know that the easter and souther states prices for weed are so high and all i ever hear is how bad it is so if the prices are high i wouldnt think theri is alot fo growers theri who produce alot or very good weed, most of the stuff theri comes from mexico

Most of the stuff here stays within College towns or gets sent out to metro areas. It's the western side of the state that sees the most production, and local distro. There is an ass load of Schwag here, but that's mostly sold to the old timers or uneducated ones. A lot of my friends back home in my little bum fuck middle of nowhere town think I have super weed when I visit.

I think it's simple math Cali & Oregon it's usually legal an has been happening for decades (legal or not) so you have more growers in 2 states then the other 48 combined with more experience an easy access plus lax regulations.

Really the best weed could come from 1 plant in a basement in Delaware but we would never know!

Cali supplies most of the Nation along with Some small help from Mexico & Canada and if your Guerilla growing Pacific North West gotta be the place to be. If you have a have a water source readily available from a faucet in the desert AZ, NV, NM, & Cali sure gotta lot more sunlight an I think plants like that!

Vermont, Western Mass, Eastern NY - Good culture, lots of land, good soil. Great spring, summer, falls, terrible winters. Use to live in the Hudson Valley (hence the name) when I was a kid before moving out to the west. Loved it there. The laws in those states are all decriminalized if I am not mistaken.

well all i know is that oregon and north cal has the best i have smoked in the last 10 years. ive smoked weed out of Washington, cali, nevada, arizona, idaho pretty much the western states. oregon beats them all in potency, price, quality, and quantity.
im sure theri is much better weed then here though. and also i always hear from people on here and from people i know from other states like ijn the mid west and eastern states, or down south is that the weed is bullshit, unless you got a good hook up (witch is rare from what i hear) to get you some dank, i always here it is mexi brick weed and the prices are outrageous. im sure theri is small growers in those states that grow some good buds. and as for more sun light in those states well your right but they are also very hot and i neve see any huge plants grown down theri ive seen good grows but nothing like in oregon and cali, or even washington the climate down theri is not ideal and here it is

I think it's funny how everyone from California thinks they grow the best bud. Can you say cannabis snobs! Cali gets headlines cause of the lax laws. Another thing, lots of top strains and growers are not native to Cali. IMO most come from the east coast, notably New England. The best bud comes from where it's grown. Like one poster said, " the dankest bud could come from a basement grow in Delaware.

So true, I come from the northeast, and the shit I got from vermont or the Indian reservations outside of syracuse was def the dankest shit I have ever puffed to date. Everyone has their own opinion. Personally I think that a colder spring and fall, and a blazing summer make for exquisite taste and plant durability. Much the same way I prefer NY wine to here (CA). Its just different, the plants have gotten their ass handed to them by nature, and so it puts everything it can into the fruit/flower. A touch off the yields, a touch on the quality. Always a wise bet.

The best place to grow outside would have to be a location you only know about and it has to be a damn good spot with plenty of sun

Texas winters can get pretty cold, the summer is blazing hot, and dry where i live. Expect to water frequently if you grow in Texas outdoors, i haven't grown yet but i plan on it.
Spring is very nice with some late frosts usually, and fall is amazing once it sets in. You could probably expect to grow untill Halloween outdoors in Texas i would assume before you need to worry bout the night time temps of your plants (haven't grown but what im assuming and thinking i will have to do)

yeah no state will make better bud, it all depends on the strain.
and yes, your state does play a factor, but only the weather aspect of it. This thread should be labeled "best climate to grow in outdoors"

PS: HI all day every day.

Southern Oregon Baby... If Outdoors try to get off the coast a few miles, you Don't want a beach house... Free nutes here on the coast, seaweed/kelp, oyster shells by the truck loads, mushrooms for composting in the fall all over the mountains, good eating too...

Happy House Hunting:)
Starting South at the Cali Border working North you have Curry County (Brookings, Gold Beach, Port Orford), Coos County (Bandon, Coos Bay/ North Bend, Charleston (oyster central), Winchester Bay, Reedsport) From Brookings to Reedsport it is about a 2.5+ hours drive...
Coos Bay/ North Bend being your largest city...
If you want to head into the heat a bit head inland, there is Hwy 199 from cali. to Grants Pass, Or (Cave Junction, Selma, Grants Pass), also check out on a map, cities just South of Grants Pass and North to Eugene...
I love no hurry Curry county! Not a lot going on and that is a good thing! Head a few miles up one of the rivers and you have perfect climate and excellent fishing!

Kentucky has tons of people growing outdoors but theres a down side its such a problem law Enforcement really look long and hard for the plants about 30% of all outdoor growers get caught so its a good place just not a safe place
