Best use of my Trim?

yep, any other fallacies in my statement? because the information is correct...
not even going to fix it....

I am going to have to stop you right there, that is not the case with solvent extracts. Color is determined by a few different factors, Heat, age of material, and how long it flower for.

too much heat or not enough you killed your product. (still dirty). Age is irrelevant if using properly stored / cured quality trichomes. How long it flowered can determine the size of the trichome heads but not as much the color.

when making extracts its all about the terpenes unless you winterize. that removes terpenes .

I wish people properly stored their trim....

and actually yes flowering time does, when you are gardening and you harvest your looking for the trichs to amber up, correct? well If you let the plant go an extra week the trichs will amber more and result in a darker extract...

not entirely true. trichs can go from amber to clear to in the same day. light degredation. I don't go by trichs. I watch for hairs to recede and calyx's to swell at that point. Checking trichs is misleading.

go from amber to clear???
I am going to step out now before you drag me down to your level and beat me with much more experience.

light degrades trichomes. Every one knows that. Thats why when you check them and if you check them . you do it right when the lights turn on . You check the middle buds. the leaves will almost always have different color trichs than the buds. Plushberry produces pink trich's even. Ive seen some skunk produce cherry red trich's too.

and his stuff is sub par for multiple reasons but I would rather give him constructive advice like check out oakleys thread http://rollitup.org/t/iso-extractions-by-_oakley_.489366/ then just sit there and rip on him, but hey that is just me.

Point to your test results or the effects it had on you....can those not be determined from looking at a picture of some hash during its first cooling period? Ahh, I didn't realize it was you, in that case I'll take your word for it.

clear, cloudy, amber.....but you are the expert on all things cannabis, so maybe I have that wrong too. Amber back to clear....I guess I'm off on waaaaay more than my extracts....according to this thread my extracts shouldn't even get you high, I'm surprised there weren't more complaints!

holy shit dude, that's like my exact process but with better pictures and different contraptions....so you are saying that mine is sub par for many reasons or his is? i didn't read the 24 pages, maybe the multiple reasons were outlined by other posters.

I never said it wont get you high. I'm sure it will. Huffing paint thinner will get you high. Contaminated extracts have negative long term effects. It can cause cancer, brain damage, metal poisoning, any number of respiratory issues. Metal poisoning can damage bones too.

oakley freezes his stuff
he does quick 15 to 30 second washes
he also lets his evaporate out with little to no heat

these are the main factor why yours looks dark and Oakley and TexasTHC and QK's all put out gold iso

I don't know about your plants, but when I look at mine there are hundreds of trichs....are you using tape to mark which ones you are looking at?

If and when I check, I do multiple spots on each plant. You will see more clear than amber at the end of the day. Trichs are the plants defense mechanism against harmful rays.

op sorry I hijacked your thread. It wasn't intentional

Gotcha, sub par because I don't freeze it and I use heat (I do quick washes). Ok, sub par for two reasons doesn't make you sound as good as "his stuff is sub par for multiple reasons", so I understand your phrasing now. Although, I would define a water bath with the water below boiling as "little" heat, so my stuff is sub par because I don't freeze it....I'm trying really hard to have your post be a credible one instead of just another person shitting on someone without posting anything they have done themselves....
