fark....yum, yum! WOw...been pretty wasted these past few days on the VK...smokes like a dream - so soft and smooth with a great 'disabilitating' effect of a nice muscle relaxant....got some nice pics of harvest, etc... Ill try to have them posted up here tonight or tomorrow sometime...stay posted!

Well here's the round up of this grow - it was an awesome last few days bringing in the fruits of our labor and drying them nicely before finally putting them all in jars to cure. Enjoy the large group of pics below...I've opted to paste them in from my photobucket account so they're a bit bigger to enjoy!

Thanks don - yeah we did get a nice dry weight this harvest. The CB is a real nice evening smoke - can't really describe the taste but I'm guessing it will change in the next few weeks. The VK is very citrusy and sticky - a nice smooth, soft head-hitter and relaxing high with a great lemony taste. The smoke actually smells lemony for a while afterwards (joint) as well.
I've got Pineapple Chunk, Blueberry and Bubba-Kush starting thier 6th week of veg and will go into flower next weekend. Their not looking real great at this point compared to the last few rounds, but we'll see how they perform in 12/12.
We're definitely enjoying these two strains - the VK is super nice and actually has a bit of an uplifting effect along with the relaxing high. It will be nice to smoke after work and in the early evening. The CB is a nice, but still coming into it's own - we'll see how it is in a few weeks. It's a unique, 'tasty' smoke as well though and is nice in the mid to late evenings as everything winds down.

Good to know you are enjoying your buds . I am thinking about getting some of the VK when my new CB grow is done its 4 wks from seed and is doing great its in hydro and Im using CFL's . I will put some pics up if you would like to see . An ya the CB tast is hard describe the tast ! If you have not tryed it yet try the CB in a bong it tast much better !

Over 2 weeks into the cure now and the VK is tasting better and better. Actually, it hit a real sweet spot right now and some of it is going into the freezer next weekend or the one after I think. It busts up beatuifully right now so this is how I'm going to try and keep it.....very impressed so far with the taste AND the high. Bong hits of this strain are amazing - 3-4 and I'm totally useless for 1-2 hours...really soft and heavy hitting with a citrus taste and incredibly smooth on the bong.

Thanks GD77! It's funny you should mention the CB...I'm quite high on it at this very moment and I'm telling you that you definitely have some beautiful smoke to be excited about! Nice clear-headed high with a soft yet heavy stone to fill out the buzz.
Hey how did you cure your mj mine after 3 days is still wet I put them outside to dry then I felt them getting dry then I put them in the cure jar, Then they went back damp should I leave them in the cure jar or take them out and let them fully dry then cure?

Yo.... I live in a super-dry climate, so 3-4 days here has proven to be plenty of time for drying. I have them in a spare bathroom with the ventilation fan running at night as well as a small fan blowing in the room to keep the air circulating (but not pointed directly at the hanging plants since that causes them to dry too fast).
That takes them to a semi-dry state as they then go into my curing jars up in my dark cupboard. The llids stay open slightly for the first day or so, then I seal them up and check them every few hours the first day thier closed, letting out the moisture (you can see the fog build-up on the inside of the jars) and rotating the mj to keep it drying evenly. Once you've done this and the jars stay clear when closed, they sit in the dark cupboard curing for another 2-3 weeks. As the weeks go by I notice they smell less 'green' and start to show more uniqueness. This past grow I used a flushing solution called 'Final Phase' from AN which seems to have worked really well giving a better quality product all around (smells nicer, smokes smoother and tastier, lasts longer in the jars). After they've cured for about 4-5 weeks, they get bagged and placed into the fridge-freezer to keep them fresh.
One more little tip: I've always kept each of my plants separate from each other (I give them all names) from seed to smoke. All plants are unique, even those of the same strain, and when doing small grows (1-10 plants at a time), it's worth keeping each one seperate to really get a wide range of results from one strain. I've noticed certain plants that cure better or 'sweeter' than other plants of the same strain. This actually gives some plants a 'personality' of sorts and as they're enjoyed, we refer to them by name. =)
