Inside diameter, o.d. outside diameter, the difference of i.d. and o.d. is wall thickness.

10 filters isn't overkill on the amount of material I run in my tubes especially because of the surface area of material exposed to the filter surface. I run between 200-300 grams per tube. It all depends on your tube size and pressure build up and what you can see coming out of your tube in your tane through a microscope.
The size of the tube, the amount of material ran, and the amount of tane ran through the filters will dictate how many filters should be used for what the extractor is doing.
Fine ground material will also require more filters vs course ground or broken up buds.

10 filters is completely overkill because you apparently aren't using a good quality filter even if you have to use more than one. All you need to buy is a quality 25-50 micron filter that usually come in a 3 pack. Mean Skreenz makes them for BHO and sells a 3 pack for 15 and I am still on my first one and I'm done of a dozen runs. Well worth the money and they are meant for this. They don't absorb material or butane and they are washable and reusable but I have never once needed to wash mine and like i said I'm still reusing the first one and have done a bunch of runs. Like that one person said its all in what you use for product and your materials. If you don't do it right you could be giving yourself cancer by extracting unwanted toxins if you don't use the right kind of products when making your wax. When made the right way with the right tools you can do a big dab and it should taste nice and clean and should never be harsh or burn at all so if it does then something isn't right.

I grabbed a 8 cup food processor from Walmart and it made grounding up 20 lbs very easy. My buddy was impressed by the amount we were getting per tube compared to what he was getting not processed.

I wonder why nobody ever soaks the material in the butane for a while in the freezer. It's like any other liquid solvent below zero. Could soak it overnight if you wanted. Don't know how much more yield you would get but probably some. I guy named John Berfelo has a YT channel and an analyzing unit and he found 7% THC left in used BHO material.

The longest I ever left the butane with the material is 1 hour. I am sure with the right equipment you can leave it longer. As far as how much longer to actually benefit from, I'm not too sure. I prefer to soak with butane as long as possible. I have a jar with material and I spray the butane into the jar and then place it in a cooler with dry ice if on hand or lots of ice to slow down the evaporation. Make sure to take precaution since it is a pool of butane.. I have a extra hole on the lid of the jar to allow and slow escape, aka won't build up pressure.

I actually just watched a video a little while ago where they squirted it into a mason jar and added weed then put some mesh over the top and poured it out, maybe it was you.

To get a lower temperature than 32 you could add salt to the ice/water. It makes it several degrees below normal freezing.

Might also be able to reclaim the butane by connecting two mason jars with some propane hose and putting one in the freezer. You could probably get the door shut most of the way if not completely, then plug any cracks with towels. Then just sit the jar with the extract in it on a coffee mug warmer on top the freezer. Guess you'd need some kind of pressure compensator so the jars don't blow. Hook a balloon on it or something.
