So enough of waiting im going to switch to 12/12 at the weekend.
Couple of things to sort out first mind:
I need to get another timer so i can switch my whiskey box light (2 x 14w warm white cfl's) on and off accordingly. It will be used for 2 reasons 1) for low level light, not much but might help a bit and 2) to come on 15mins before the 600w bulb and switch off 15mins after giving a sunrise, sunset effect in my grow room and also enable me to check on my plants under a softer light twice a day and hopeully arouse less suspision from any potential nosey neighbours.
A min / max thermometer so i know exactly whats going on in the early hours - i have checked as late as 2:30am and 5:00am and the lowest has been 16 degrees celsius (i have my heater coming on every 90mins for 5mins) but nevertheless i want to be safe.
So hopefully there will be buds soon - as for the pic update i will do one tomo - i transplanted the WW that was in the 5 litre pot yesterday so she is now in a 14 litre same as her sister. The BB i was going to transplant but when i placed her inside the 14L still in her 10L pot there was so little difference i thought nit wasn't worht stressing her for. I did have another go at taking 2 clones of the BB tho but this timethey are in pete pellets and inside my makeshift propogator so will hopefully have more success.

Sorry for the lack of action guys but i'm hoping the fun will start soon.
Update:
3rd day of 12/12.
Big Bang had 9 weeks veg and the 2 x WW had 6.5 weeks - they are smaller than they should be because they were all started in the veg cab under just 63w - this is something i am looking to rectify by getting a 105w blue spec cfl to replace the 23w warm white i have in the centre of my cab at the minute, the new 105w cfl i would also mount accross horizontally - does anyone know if there is a need to balance the spectrums for veg like i have at the moment (2 cool white & 1 warm white) or would my idea of 105w cool white and 2 x 20w cool white be better?
Anyway thats the update - oh apart from the cabinet news (see the first pic): there are 2 x BB clones (7 days old) and 2 x WW clone (2 days old - 1 from each WW) sitting inside my makeshift propogator (once a kids toy first aid kit box! - but my clones needs are greater than the kids!) with my 2 x big bang seedlings that are now 12 days old sitting on top of the propogator lid and prevent the clones from getting too much direct light.
Also, i am going to limit my updates to twice a week so that instead of my endless ramblings there is something worth writing about for people to hopefully comment on.
Thanks for looking at tmy thread and please please people advise me if i am going wrong anywhere - or just say hello and write down any old crap god only knows i do enough of it! - first grows are very stressful!!!

Whats your budget with regards to lighting for your Veg cab ?
£45 (which includes P&P) would buy you a 300w dual spectrum envirolite with the fittings (plug and socket) And believe it or not they are self ballasted which means plug and go (Nice and easy..lol)

I'm having probs with calcium deficiency on my biggest, she's only got about 3 or 4 weeks (ish) to go, but still trying to sort it out is hard due to the miracle gro soil I used with her (having moisture control but that was the last of it I used
)... I'm now using an Organic mix compost which dries out in 2 or 3 days.. My clones are in this stuff and they look great!
I've also been doing some digging on nutes,I have enough Ionic bloom to last the next 4 weeks so need to get some more but want to experiment with others too, Canna terra flores (what a friend of mine swears by) has an NPK ratio of 2-2-4 and Tomorite (lol) has and NPK ratio of 4-4.5-8 which essentially is the same, the major difference here is that Canna flores is £10-15 per litre and Tomorite is £3.99 for 3 litres... So, my experiment will be with on of my clones on tomorite and mollasses, the rest I will keep on the Ionic range - but depending on results - it could be a real money saver ? (Well, I thought it was worth an experiment anyway..lol)

Cheers for the advice redeye - that is one big CFL bulb there mate and unfortunately would be too big for my cabinet (its only 1 foot sq x 1.5 foot tall - wish id built it bigger but i only wanted something to start my plants off in at first and using what i had to hand - but as things progressed i wanted to start clones, keep a mum etc. etc. - why am i always trying to run before i can walk!) although the extra 300w light would be amazing - i have found the perfect bulb on ebay for like £17 incl. postage its a 105w blue spec bulb which at 100mm dia. x 250mm long would fit my cab a treat although i would need to move the socket so it was horizontal, when i get paid at the end of the month i will look into modifying the cabinet. Thanks for the advice mate, much appreciated - i hope you can resolve your cal def - i will try and research some info on it.

They aint as big as they look! I've got mine in a PC case (although mine is 125w I don't think there would be a big difference in size)... I've added some pics to show ya!
Loving the freebies fella... the Rhino T-shirt looks proper nice! I might even buy one! lol... I get my seeds from pick and mix.. never had a problem with them.. however they won't replace or refund for seeds that do not germ! I may have to change my seed supplier ! lol

nice one mate - see that is the sort of bulb i want in my cab, along with the 2 x 20w bulbs i got at the moment i reckon with 165w total i should see a big difference in growth rate. will defo look at ordering at the end of the month.

This I can guarantee you! They are perfect for seedlings, early veg (upto 3 weeks I get mine to in the PC case) and clones aswell..
I only found that 300w today, I'm thinking I may get one, if its bigger then I'll use it as a side light in the tent but if its the same size it will go in the PC case.. (I wonder if that would reduce the stress, going from a 300w CFL to a 400w HPS instead of a 125w?)
Oh, in the pic.. the empty pot (isn't empty) CH9 Super Haze, germed 2 days ago! In the middle under the coke bottle is a Honey B clone and the other one on the end is another big bang clone.. BB looks a little worse for wear but I see new growth.. 2 weeks and she'll look like a beauty!
just checked in my tent and my big girl has got proper bad.. I am guilty of a few things though... I thought to myself 'What is it that I'v done different on this grow to my past grows?' PERLITE... I didn't use it this time... with moisture control soil... Yep, I feel like a complete twat! So now, it looks next week I will giving it a good water down with Mollases and cutting the week after... it would make for 7 weeks flowering - No where near what it could be but the offspring I got from her will pay me back I'm sure!
Now I'm rambling... so sorry!
i have a big bang female seed i will be germinting eventually also so let me know how your Big Bang cultivation goes i am currently germintating a Sadhu and i noticed today that it should be popping by tomorrow i am excited to learn more and more as a go

Yeah thanks for the tip mate - i found this one called the clonelight that is £10 on ebay - its 4w and claims to be equivalent to between 10w and 50w MH / HPS - not much to base a choice on seeing as if its closer to 10w its not worth changing my existing bulb for but if its more like 50w then it is worth it - then again for an extra fiver i could get a 105w blue spec cfl, bit of a no brainer as the septic tanks would say - no offence anyone!!!

As for the excitement part i know what you mean, my favourite parts of the day are checking on the plants when i get up and when i return from work - i love it!!!!

I know mate - it really doesn't seem like 9 weeks but at the same time i am dying for those Big Bang buds hopefully like you got in your jar (you jammy beggar), roll on harvest.
Freebies are great and GHS have certainly redeemed themselves for now ( iwill wait till the other 3 BB seeds sprout before i continue to sing their praises tho).
