Big Bud Strain...All Organic...need advice..plus pics.

Ok. ive got 10 big bug strain at day 26 in the veg state. they are a 400w mh 24/0.

soil mix:
30% potting soil
30% worm castings
30% organic mulch
10% perlite

i want to grow some bomb ass smoke...but trying to grow organically. keep it simple and clean. want to stay away from the chemicals.

how do my plants look?
(i'll add some pics in the next post)

they look good to me w/ just getting there nitrogen from the worm castings.

i read about molasses.... does it really help???

and what would be best to use for fertilizer once i start flowering? is bat guano the best?

what is everyone thoughts on rabbit poo?

any and all advice will be appreciated. :leaf:

pics of the set up first.........

intake fan, exhause fan(from light hood), air conditiner w/ dedicated exhaust, 1 400w mh, fly strips (no chemical...just sticky), fan, roll laminate flooring, 90% covered w mylar.

pics will come next.........:peace:

forgot to say that i used two different soil mixes to do some experimenting. 7 plants were planted in average priced composted soil/w worm castings/perlite.......and 3 were planted in high end expensive composted soil w/ the same worm castings.

They look great,.. you've got things off to a good start. They look a little tall though. Not stretched, but like you just recently got some light on them. Bury the stalk when you replant. Make three or four shallow cuts in the root ball with a razor blade. It's like topping, but for the roots.

Molasses helps. Read about it. Watch out for the pests, and don't overdo it.
Yes to the guano,.. get the excrement from fruit bats.
Never used rabbit poo,.. and don't think I've ever had the need to. You can cover your bases, with bone and blood meal, bat guano, rock phosphate and trace elements in some form or another. Maybe a pinch of epsom salts too. With those additions to a good base soil and using molasses, you can grow the biggest buds your awesome setup will allow.

back again.... planning on creating a sealed veg chamber within the grow room. possibly using cfl's for the veg instead of mh..... to keep the head and electricity down.

Plants look good.

Yeah, add molasses. It's for the microbes in the soil.

I keep either 5-1-1 fish emulsion or 8-0-0 miracle grow organic fert (its made from sugar beat molasses) for an N boost, and some 2-4-.5 fish emulsion from a local store. Use some dechlor to clean the tap water, add one of the above and slop on the plants.

Some people say use teas, some say try the bmo stuff on ebay. So many ways to do this stuff. I've read so many cool things about rabbits that I almost got stoned and bought one today just so I can use it's food and shit as plant food (and the rabbit is instant stem disposal).

Hey Baker, thanks for advice....i appreciate it. i have a rabbit out back of my house that i feed apples to. i'm going throw the apple on some plastic and see if i can't collect some. i suppose i could just trap the rabbit....and bring him inside. keep in a cage in the grow room.

nice lil grow room you got there. i use bio-bizz organics like bio grow when it in veggy then when in flower i use bio-bloom and topmax. you should give them a try iv used them for about 3 years and well worth it! and 100% organic

just because organics it best!

Peace!

I used to have a rabbit. The poo you end up with collecting it yourself is soaked in urine. That may or may not be a problem, but I'm wondering what it would smell like in the grow room. It probably rinses off well enough.

greenthumb....thanks for the suggestion... i will look into bio bizz organics

sidharta.....yea...good point about the urine.

thanks for everyones helpful hints and kind words.

Try BLUE MOUNTAIN ORGANICS on eBay. I suggest that. I bought the whole line of bio bizz, well grow and bloom, and while it is omri it is simply all derived from molasses and the bloom is one other thing. The BMO has guano and bacteria and everything else one would want. You have prob already heard this, but it is a killer tea. Also ladybugs in your grwo are a good idea. They will make a meal out of any bugs before they have a chance to do damage. As soon as my first batch ran out I got bugs and now I have a second batch in there killing them all.

Urine is a good source of NPK as well, so i dont see it being a problem.

but with rabbit droppings, you want to add about a 1/2 cup to a gallon of water and let it sit for awhile... this will make a sort of fertilizer "tea".
