Naww, yesterday I actually started taking notes and stuff. I had to transplant my Bubba Lavender. I really need to top her and Jack Herer. But I'm hesitant to do it because I'm out of dough for two weeks and I dont want to waste a cloning opportunity! lol I might just stick the thing in peat and water if something doesn't come up.

Biggest full moon this Saturday? I think I'm going to start throwing my larger clones out in the moonlight at 12am. Might be a great time to start slowly getting these plants ready to stay outdoors full time.

DONT use transplant cups for pots. The roots don't like light, which slows the growth of the plant.

Ok. I'm glad I'm not doing that then. But I can use transplant cups to root clones, right? I like being able to see the root development.

You don't want to let them live in there too long but as a very temp home you can use the cups. I personally don't like them as I have ruined a few cuttings but letting the roots go through the drain holes and not clearing them 100% during transplant. That resulted in me ripping half the roots off them. It could have been me but I', gonna blame the cups. LOL

I figured it was fine, I just didn't know how to let kevdogg know that its not permanent without it looking like I'm pullin' a "passthat2me" on a brotha. Ha!
Hey Kevdogg, I feel you man. If I had clones that had as many roots as your aero cloner, I would definitely put them right into their 1 gallon home.
ABM, I noticed that I have a tendency to let them go rootbound, probably because I'm addicted to that explosive growth post-transplant, but also because it seems like a safer way to transplant. There's not a whole lot of risk of a big clump of dirt falling and 35% of the root system with it. That was in the past, now I'm trying to transplant right before it gets to a rootbound point. That should also prevent the roots from growing into the holes.

So here's the thing...buy the good soil. Just do it. Just bite the bullet and pay the extra $4 a bag. Good organic soil is just fine for your vegetable garden but treat your weed right and buy the GREAT organic soil.
Any idea what's up with this Bubba Lavender? I know I'm going to finish and I'm going to have good tasting smoke, but it concerns me when I have problems this early in the year.

ya transplanting when the roots just start to circle is fine. Its good because they have good structure not to mess up any roots. But I didnt mean transplant cups.. I meant transparent(see thru) Hope you knew what i meant.
