hey, i wonder if you noticed something... the blacks who lived through the civil rights era when they were the most oppressed... didnt act like ignorant fuckers. I understand what you're trying to say, but i will respectfully disagree...
You are completely ignoring the fact that what they did was wrong, was a hate crime.
You're ignoring the fact that education, manners, etc... are neglected in favor of "identifying" with today's black culture. Im not calling them niggers, im not saying hateful things... but every other minority doesnt seem to have this problem. Its a cultural thing. They have oppurtunies and programs directed at their success in school, but they ignore it. They have access to thousands upon thousands of dollars of scholarship money... just for the color of their skin.
Its not about skin color, its about how you were brought up to represent yourself, how to act in public. Obviously the ball is being dropped somewhere.
And instead of feeding the same old lines about how statistics this and that, how about investing in their future? changing the culture? and btw, i never bring personal insults to you. Please respect me enough to leave your personal feelings out of the equation.

Btw saying that beating up defenseless people is wrong isnt bigotry, its the truth.
Who's the bigot ignoring people getting beat for the color of their skin?

i merely pointed out the vast inequality that STILL EXISTS in our country. inequalities that i would like to see vanquished.

but if i bring up these inequalities, i must be "making excuses". in other words, you want me to stop mentioning the shit hand that certain people are dealt due solely to the color of their skin.

i'm sorry, care to find where i make any mention of the flash mob, its actions, or any racial component therein? perhaps in college you might learn to read for comprehension, because i guarantee you you won't find it. go ahead and try.

what i did address and take issue with is the incitement to bigotry by some in this thread. i also took issue with your assertion that "black people aren't oppressed anymore", which seemed to imply that everyone was truly equal, when reality begs to differ.

you are truly naive if you think that a few scholarship programs all of a sudden means that blacks have some unfair advantage over white people. try being black in our judicial system, have fun with that. or getting a job. or a loan. unfair treatment still abounds ALL OVER.

but perhaps your 18 year old, never had a job, pasty white ass knows something that i don't.

Number one you dumbass that can never seem to read someones comments correctly, I said our politicians don't give a shit about their plight (all illegals and welfare bums) the simply put on an act to make them feel good to guarentee a steady stream of votes to keep them ( The Politicians) living in their lavish lifestyles.

Number 2 for every kid they have they get $1500 keep in mind that $1500 does not include WIC, Medicade and the other programs. There was a book written a while back by a woman that lived off our government just as all the generations before her had taught her to and she was saved and her view was totaly changed about the lifestyle they perpetuated for generation. She decided to get a job and get off the system because she knew what she was doing was wrong and she wrote a book telling about how they worked the system. After the book came out she was shunned, threatened and ousted from her "loving" community for being honest and revealing the truth.

To hell with being POLITICALLY CORRECT I tell it how it is take it or leave it. It is POLITICALLY CORRECT for politicians to tell you what you want to hear to achieve the results the want only to turn around and do what the want so with that being said I am no politician and I have no desire to be what is considered POLITICALLY CORRECT only be honest.

I read for comprehension. I understand what you are saying. You're blatantly ignoring the wrongness of the actions to attack those who say anything that disagrees with what you hold to be true. A few scholarship programs? How about millions and millions of dollars of money that ivy leagues will shell out to them? or the tons and tons of programs schools offer for them to go to college, and they ignore it? this i know for a fact, since my school did this, offered black college fairs, gave them access to scholarships.
No one is oppressed anymore if they work hard. yes, it may be harder for black people to get loans, to get a job. same applies if you're a woman, mexican, asian. the world is hard if you're not a white male. doesnt mean you cant rise above your situation.
People like you allow the cancer of a entitled youth to claim oppression, while demanding that because they are (insert here reason ____ "fat, asian, black, short, mexican, red headed, left handed, etc.") opressed.
Lets value hard work. Lets value over coming precieved obstacles.

As I stated I was raised that a nigger was not a black person, it was a term used for worthless people regardless of their race.

Yes, there are some slightly racist comments on here. but the other things stated? a sad truth. There are positives and negitives of every race, white included. why does it have to be racism if its not what someone wants to hear?

you also get butt hurt and act like a victim yourself because i pointed out that you are young and have never even worked a day in your life.

when i was your age, i would just be waking up right now because i worked a night audit at a hotel. i would be getting ready to go to my job as a busboy or as the guy in the cart at the driving range before changing clothes and heading to the night audit. the things you have to do when you aren't an adult living at home with mommy.

lol, inequalities exist. they always will. should we let them define who we are as a people? if that was true, id be married off right now expecting my first kid, just like my grandmother after she graduated high school. I wouldnt have the right to vote, inheirit property, have my own bank account, own my own home, get a divorce.

i pointed out the inequalities that your chubby ass chooses to ignore because you made the claim that oppression didn't exist in the black community anymore. the reality of the world proves that statement to be quite false, and you admitted such.
