Got no traction on the specific post, so floating it up to my peeps in here:

Hey y’all,

Been doing the Gaia, seaweed, fish etc in soil for a while now, but GH Maxi line has me intrigued. I’ve seen y’all get some killer results, across different cultivation methods (DTW, Coco), so what’s an outdoor, soil dude to do?

My typical base is ProMix Organic (not dissimilar to FFOF) additional perlite, EWC and a dash of Dyno (in furrow/transfer also).

Would this substrate base be conducive to the Maxi line? I definitely like the dry powder ease and I use municipal tap water (Toronto), so the oft cited cal mag issues feel like they should be mitigated. I’ve also never had to ph as I just hand water and don’t use ro.

I passed on your first post because you know how I feel about Maxibloom! I use it on my tomatoes outside every year. It's a good fertilizer indoors or out.

Your gardening prowess/tomato operation is part of the reason Maxi entered my internal dialogue! I just wasn’t sure if it responds well/better to other substrate compositions like what I typically use. I’m getting the sense it’s pretty agnostic in that regard. I love Gaia and it’s produced some good bud for me over the years, just feels like I’m leaving a bit on the table. I’ll presume your advice is the same as others and not use full dose amounts. Y’all truly are a bunch of gems! The best

I never exceed a half teaspoon per gallon and only feed tomatoes every couple of weeks.

I foresee myself using both parts Grow & Bloom during the run. Know some who only use the Bloom. Guess I’ll swing by the local grow shop when I’m back and see what’s up.

Been stuck in Trim Jail since Sunday, just got out for good behavior. Great harvest, though. I think I've finally hit the pound mark on my 3rd run. I've gotta lot to do today, I have to get a clean system into place, and transfer 6 veg plants into it. Then i have to clean the used system, and if I have the time/energy I should put new clones into the veg system. I've got gigs for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this week, so I won't have time to fuck around with plant shit then.


Some Blue Dream wet trim pics. I grew 2 this run, the biggest one was crazy... HUGE nugs, I'll get a dry QP from that one alone. Sorry my phone camera sucks -

Are you growing in containers or in the ground?
I usually mix up a bag of manure, leaves and sandy garden loam for the bottom half, holds moisture better in containers, counter-balances them when they get top heavy.

Another long day way up the coast yesterday, wish I had time to screw off afterwards.
I have to come up next week also, think I'll take time out for lunch finally.

Outdoor I use 10G fabrics. I also raise them up on milk crates. Yes for airflow, but my yard also has a tendency to pool/pond in spots after a heavy rain. Better for my crappy back too

Beautiful as usual! I'm right behind you. My crop was finished right on day 56 and I'm beyond stunned nothing finishes that fast (for me anyway) so I need to get started but I keep looking at them and going, "You can't be done!" I'll do that for another day or two to put off the inevitable.

I started smoking @ 13 in '71. We had a hell of a time not getting "burned"...but we made do and finally found a few folks who had lids ($15) on the regular/etc.

Ah....the old toilet paper tube pipes. Remember? Easy. Disposable. Those shotguns hit hard. LOL. First time my buddy and I really got baked we were in the woods behind his parents house. Wasn't a big hill to climb to get back to the house...but after we smoked...it was a mountain. Fuckin wasted... yeah baby.

I met my now wife the same year...in 8th grade...@ the drinking fountain trying to sell a half hit of White Lightning LSD. I gave her a buck. She gave me 1/2 of the hit. It was my first go of it. I waited....and waited...nothing. Waited more. Still nothing. Then I heard about some chick who freaked out in the Hall and was escorted out of school by her friends. Yup. She got the entire dose. LOL. She never did much tripping after that.... (but I did...LOL)

I took a year long break in 2003 to start a hydroponics store. Mistake. LOL. When I first smoked again it was that "high school high" stuff where yer 45 years old and yer thinking yer mom/dad are gonna figure out how stoned you are....heehee...

Added a few sprinkler heads/pipe yesterday to ease the pain of what they say may be a dry Summer. More on tap for today. Gotta get this shit done before it gets warm/hot or I'll be behind the 8-ball...
