Not technically. It's distilled through an herb basket. The basket contains different herbs, juniper berries are common. But different gins have different flavor profiles from the spice mix they use.

Hard drugs for me was when the chunk of hash got a bit dried out and had to use a flame to gently soften it up so a small piece could be broken off for the pipe.
