Seeing all that wood brings back memories of the time we moved to Yreka. Bought a beautiful 1920's craftsman house with a diesel fueled furnace. Put 400 dollars worth of fuel in thinking that ought to last a while. 2 weeks later we were out of fuel. I chopped a lot of wood for the fireplace that winter. Roamed the roadside looking for felled trees to chop. Scary times, my wife was laid off and we were in the middle of a 50% reduction in work force. Kept my job but they cut us all down to 32 hours.

I've been through that hell before. I can only hope you come out of it sane. Give them lots of snacks and keep away lol.

In 2019 we remodeled the exterior of our house, new windows, siding, paint, gutters, all the trimmings to match the new roof we put on 2016. The final part of the project was the installation of the gutters, which were done the day before our wedding anniversary.
So the following day my wife comes home and says, "Just to double check, we're really REALLY not doing anything for our anniversary right after the remodel?"
I replied, "Nope!!! I got us a special present!" Took her outside and looked up at the gutters and said, "There honey, my mind is not IN the gutter, this year we are literally looking UP at the gutters this anniversary."
They have been forever named the anniversary gutters. Yeah, we're weird.

Someone please come help! Two pre-teen girls! It's a sleepover!
Mine's sick, stuffy, cranky, plugged into her headphones and ignoring everything but her own misery. It's rather peaceful and quiet, and no Friday night parent taxi to her theater club. Looking forward to a nice night with my table saw.

This 5 foot monster is coming down in the next few days. Smells really strongly of grape Nehi soda. Wish I had a spinny thing now

Even with warmer lights off temps it had some deep purple on the leaves that almost looks black.
Hope y'all are having a great Friday night. I'm getting ready for a bowl of Kosher Tangie a buddy grew and then it's Netflix and annoy the wife .
