Blue Dream, SLH, OG #18, and some others!

Things are still moving along nicely without much of a fuss. All of the buds are starting to really come together now. I'm starting to get pretty excited, because I know that harvest time is quickly approaching. And I cannot wait to smoke on my own bud again. Buying weed sucks gigantic ball sacks! Lol! I've become severely spoiled, since I started growing my own. Anyways I am happy with how all of them are doing except for the OG #18. I am starting to think that I got a bad pheno, because she hardly has any frost or smell to her at all. Maybe she is going to be a late bloomer in those departments. All I can do is cross my fingers and hope for the best. The Buddah Tahoe has really started to get that pungent OG smell to her, and I am loving it. This plant looks all indica to me. The pics just aren't doing it justice and the buds are already super dense. The Underdawg smell has started to develop into a Chemmy/Fuelly smell, and she is just looking frosty as hell. The SLH is starting to frost up nicely too, and she has that lemon pinesol smell to her. It is such a nice smell. It just makes my mouth water. This plant is very sativa looking with its thin long bladed leaves. The buds are still pretty small looking though. I imagine I will have to let her go at least 10 weeks to finish up unless she explodes in bud growth. I still can't get over the grape-strawberry bubblegum smell that the Boss Hogg has. It is such a strong smell to. It really lingers. Other than that there really isn't much else for me to talk about, so here are the pics that I just took.

Blue Dream

Well, my seeds that I was germinating has all cracked open and started to put out their little white tails! It didn't take very long, and again all of my HSO beans cracked open without any issues. I will put the seeds into solo cups and wait for them to pop above the surface of the soil. Then they will go under some CFL's until my flowering plants finish up which should be somewhere between Days 60-70 of 12/12.

I am really impressed with my Buddah Tahoe. It has a pretty strong OG smell, and quite a few trichs as well. You just can't see the trichs in the pic that well. They aren't all over the leaves like most strains. The trichs are all inside of the bud. The buds are big and round and could be the densest that I have ever grown. I wasn't expecting a whole lot from this strain, but I am glad that I gave it a go now. I might just have to invest in some more seeds of this one. Anyways I have never grown a strain whose buds were already this dense at 35 days into 12/12. This is the first indica OG strain that I have grown so far. I have grown a few other OG's, but they were all sativa like in plant structure. Me thinks me likes!

The OG #18 just isn't frosting up like I had expected. My previous grow of this strain was great and super potent. It was probably the strongest strain that I have grown to date. I don't remember it taking this long to get frosty either. It is from the same pack of seeds that I bought 2-3 years ago. When I grew it out last time and it ended up herming on me. I ended up getting about 20-30 seeds off of her. All of the seeds were found together in those small popcorn buds at the base of the branches. There wasn't any seeds in any of the main buds. I decided to give a few to a couple friends who grew them out. They all ended up being females that looked exactly like the one that I grew out. I guess I am lucky that I kept the rest of those seeds for myself because it looks like this one is going to be bull!

I gave my buddy some beans a while back that I got as testers for Gage Green Genetics. I never grew them out, so I figured he could put them to good use. The strain doesn't have a name that I know of but was labeled as 5k x Joseph OG. I have no idea what 5k is supposed to be. Anyways his plants are about 30 days into flowering and looking pretty good. They definitely don't smell anything like your typical OG. In fact they don't have any OG attributes in the smell department. He has 2 different phenos. One has big round colas with buds going all the way down the branches. The other has smaller buds but a lot more frost and a slightly different smell. I can't put my finger on how to describe the smell except that it is a sweet smell. The 2 plants have similar structures to them though. Overall I am pretty impressed with how they are looking. Depending on how good the smoke is, I might just have to give some a try myself. I'll try to remember to get some pics the next time I go over there.

just so u know.. by moving your plants and spinning them.. you will increase your flower time.. your plants will be using more energy trying to follow the light with there leaves.. instead of trying to use the light to produce buds.. atleast FROM my SIDE BY SIDE 2 rooms 1 i spun.. 1 i left alone and trained properly instead.. and the 1 i spun took 2.5 weeks longer to finish. just a little heads up.


also your plants look a lil underfed.. you shouldnt have yellowing out until the last 2 weeks of flower.. not like that atleast.. if u keep a lil greener during flower.. u can increase your yields.. also. but other then that .. looking sick dude nice crystally buds.. they will be smoooth because yellowing out so early.. but they wont pack on as much weight as they would have ..

Thanks for the info. Yeah I had some trouble trying to get this run dialed in, but it gets hard with 6 different strains. I'm just to lazy to feed them all separate. Actually I never really did get it dialed in as you can see. They are still growing and coming along nicely. It could be better, but I am still going to be happy with whatever I get! I've had some grows that stayed green up until harvest and others like this current one. Overall I don't think it is going to hurt me that much.

So I bought a bag of Kandy Kush from a friend yesterday. It isn't half bad. It isn't my favorite, but I think it is a pretty good smoke. It definitely smells and tastes like a sweet candy with a little bit of fuel mixed in there. I'm pretty sure these buds were grown locally too. It doesn't have a whole lot of kick to the buzz though. I am pretty happy with it. Not enough to get my to buy the seeds and grow it for myself though.

So the shit is getting real interesting, and I am starting to get impatient! Lol! Today is Day 40 of 12/12 for the ladies, and they are looking real nice imo! The pistils on most of the plants have started to change colors and get that finished look to them. Most of them should be finished by around Day 60. The SLH and OG#18 look like they will have to go 70 days or so. I will have something to smoke on by then so it's not a big deal. It looks like I got some pretty solid phenos this run. I imagine that they could've done much better if they were dialed in correctly. The Buddah Tahoe could very well be the best OG that I have grown out so far. It's smell just makes my mouth water. It is very strong and pungent. Actually all of the plants except for the OG#18 are really throwing out the odor now. It is starting to linger throughout the house and that is with a carbon filter. I just love it! I will post some pics this Friday of them. I will post some pics of my buddies grow tomorrow too. His plants are looking super healthy the last time I saw them. I was kind of jealous. Lol!

Lookin good man! Curious to see your amherst sd as i am currently waiting for a tap root on mine. The nyc diesel and bubba kush seeds i had germing never popped so i was pretty bummed about that but on the plus side my attitude order came through without a hitch so im currently germing thc bomb, cheese bomb, dinachem(chemdog), cinderella 99, headband, and amherst sour diesel to go with the green crack and trainwreck that have already sprouted above surface. Im pretty stoked about them. My buddy is running the berry bomb, big bomb, and ice bomb so between the two of us id say ill have a good idea of bomb seeds when its all said an done lol my blue dream and GDP are finishing out but i must say my blue dream is reallly sativa dominant its lookin to be about 2 or 3 weeks behind everyone else. But the colas are HUGE so i have no problem letting it go. Big hairy donkey dick lookin things lol I also just purchased the full ROCK lineup of nutrients thats another thing im excited to run this next lineup. It was the priciest thing ive bought since lights lol but from what ive seen it might be worth it. But hey everything looks great man and i cant wait to see some finished bud shots!!

Yeah I haven't seen any kind of grow journals anywhere on the Amherst, so I am pretty excited to see if it turns out to be a quality Sour Diesel strain. Because Sour Diesel is one of my favorite strains out there, I am expecting quite a bit out of this one. That sucks about the Bubba Kush and the NYCD. And I know it must really blow about that expensive ass NYCD bean not germinating for you. I was fairly lucky because I went 4/4 with the seeds that I just germinated. They have all popped above the soil line as of yesterday. I put them under about a 100 watt's of CFL's. That should be plenty of light to get them going for the next 3 weeks or so. Anyways it sounds like you have a really nice line-up of strains to grow out. I was supposed to get that Dinachem as a freebie with my last order, but it got snagged. I was pretty interested in it, but not so much that I would buy it. My buddy grew out a Female Seeds C99 about 2 years ago. It was a beautiful plant that was super dooper frosty and smelled like tropical fruits. It was a complete head high that I didn't really care for. It just wasn't my cup of tea. I still have a couple more seeds of that strain, but I doubt that I will ever give it a go. I would really like to try out the GDP. I ran GDP's Phantom Cookies a couple runs back and I was thoroughly impressed by it. It yielded pretty good and also smelled and tasted great. I am curious about that HSO Trainwreck too. Although I am interested in all of HSO's strains, I haven't had a chance to grow that one yet. I can't wait to here about your Bomb Seeds experience after you are finished with them too. Hell, I am interested in every strain out there to some extent. Lol! It is a never ending game that I just love playing. It definitely keeps it interesting for me to say the least.

My Blue Dream is just doing fantastic as usual. This is the reason that I love this strain. There is such a small difference between plants that every single one that I have grown has been keeper quality to me. Plus the smell has transferred over to the taste every time as well. The buds on my plant are already super thick and dense with a ton of trichs on them. It doesn't look like the yielder that I have had in the past with this strain though. My BD looks like it is going to be the 1st plant finished for me. I don't think I have had to let one go past 63 days yet. I imagine that yours will be well worth the wait though.

I haven't really gotten into all of the different fertilizers out there. I know they can get pretty expensive though. The fact that I do soil means that I don't have to use nearly as much nutes as someone would with hydo. I've seen people go through a whole kit of nutes with every single run they do in hydro. That shit can get pretty damn expensive if you let it. I just grow for my own personal smoke, so I don't really sell much if any at all. With that being said, I don't want to spend a lot of my hard earned money on supplies if I can get high quality herb without it. That is why I switched back to Miracle Grow soil instead of $25 a bag Fox Farms. I do like FF soil though, but I have had some plants do better in the MG soil. Anyways I hope that shit gives you some really dank buds in the end and turns out to be worth it for ya bro!

Subbed to see the rest. Looking good, I just put a blue dream cutting in my tent. I did a couple runs of Strawberry Dream, which is a cross between Blue Dream and Strawberry Cough, it was awesome.

Definitely have seen them need to go 10+ weeks in flower in my setup before seeing any amber trichs at all. I definitely have found it more enjoyable with some amber in there. All have been clones off of a single original plant grown from seed and seems to be a pretty saliva-leaning phono. Long, skinny leaves and pretty soaring buzz.

I also have the Amherst SD in seedling form right now. I definitely will be keeping track of the progress you see with her in parallel with my own. I have a RP SourD getting ready to flower and the HSO Desert Diesel as a seedling as well. Went on some kind of SD kick for some reason. Ha!

Welcome friend! Thanks for the praise! I have to admit that I haven't let any strain go any longer than 10 weeks. I like my strains to be finished somewhere in between 8-10 weeks of flower. Anything that takes longer than that just isn't practical for me. Sometimes I have a hard time waiting 8 weeks. Lol! Anyways I've been wanting to grow a good Sour D strain out, but I haven't had much luck in the past. My buddy grew out a Sour Diesel #2 that I gave him a while back, and I think that it was the best Sour D that I have tried that was from seed. It had one hell of a kick to her. That shit would put be me to sleep. It had a strong buzz for sure.

Here is one of my BD's that is at 8 weeks into flower tomorrow. She still needs to go a little bit. Since I have multiple plants coming ready at the same time I am going to let her continue until she is as ripe as possible:



And here is one I let get much larger before putting into flower. She has a massive root system on her and is on day 8 of flower, so a long way to go. She is looking amazing. Have her on Heavy16 Bud A+B, Growtastic EPG, Orca, DM Potash+. She is loving life at this point:

Thats whats up, yeah i was pissed about the nycd lol those two are the first seeds from attitude that ive had that didnt pop. As far as the price of nutes i hear ya, ive always ran ffof for soil with the general hydro lineup. The rock line is new to this area bit around 20 years old out of australia. The 5 part lineup in 1L is around $300 but the numbers and reviews made me positive i wamted to try it. I've seen some reviews saying its sped there grows up a couple weeks in growth rates but the harvest numbers is what got my attention. Its a single part veg and bloom formulas, along with a root tonic, a foliar feed, and resinator which is a hardener but you don't have to add anything at all like cal mag or any additional bloom boosters. Its super concentrated so it should last awhile. As far as the gdp goes i really like the pheno i have other than its not much of a stretcher in bloom and i didnt account for that so my yield is gonna be a little smaller. A longer veg time would nip that. It has a nice grapey skunky smell and is really putting on the purple in 70+ temps it started at the leaf edges and is starting to pop up on the tips of the calyxes and the nugs are dense as golfballs. I will definitely be keeping this one around for awhile since i don't know how many phenos there are and i like the purpling in warm temps and im thinking about putting a couple outdoors also. Its worth buying. I picked up 3 regs and just popped one. Luck of the draw i guess haha

Looks good man! The BD is such an easy strain to get to branch out and get big.

I've always used Botanicare Veg and Bloom nutes and Cal/Mag. I have been using some shit my buddy gave me from the hydo store on Billtown Rd. It's one of their special blends that they make or some shit. I can't remember the name and NPK of it. I might get some more from him and try using just that next time.

I have heard that there are green pheno's of the GDP, so I would guess that you did get lucky. I can't find that strain anywhere. They are out of stock.

This is my buddy's grow that I have been talking about. I gave him a few tester beans that I got from Gage Green Genetics a while back. I think they put the strain out already, because I believe that it might be their 5k Puff. Anyways the cross that was written on the tester beans that I got said 5K x OG on them. I am just guessing that it is the 5k Puff, but I may be wrong. Anyways there are only 2 of those plants in his line-up, and he has an OG #18 plant that I gave him earlier before I put my plants into flower. I didn't have the room, so I gave it to him. Anyways I think his plants are a little to green, but they look great. Especially the 5K plants, and they look really good! I am somewhat jealous, and they are under a 400w of HPS light in a Cooltube. My guess is that he is about 30 of 12/12. Maybe a little further, but I am not for sure. The frostier of the 2 has such a sweet smell to it. While the other one has a different smell and much bigger buds. It's smell is a little more OG like but not much. Anyways here are a few pics that I took a little earlier. I hope you enjoy!

Both grows lookin good, i was curious about your gage green gear i remembered you mentioning that. And that sucks with the gdp i noticed that also. A buddy of mine has some of that shit from new earth out there. Ive never been out there, been meaning to check it out though. Man i really hope im as pleased with my blue dream as you are with yours, based on bud structure mine looks like a dif pheno.

Thanks bro! I have to admit that I am really impressed with my buddies grow, and I can't wait to try it out. He owes me some buds, since I provided him with the seeds to get his grow started. I think that is a fair trade. Plus, it allows me to get a look at more strains than I could ever run just by myself.

As far as the Blue Dream goes, all of the one's that I have grown have been quite similar with minor differences here and there. The smoke turned out to be almost exact copies from what I can remember. I loved every one of them, so I am confident that you will end up liking yours.

I've always went to the New Earth hydro store since it is a little closer to where I live, but I know of the other hydro store over on 3rd street by Watterson Expressway. At least I know it is in that area. It might be on a different street, but I'm sure you know what I am talking about. I might go out there sometime just to browse and compare between them and New Earth.

Anyways I have been meaning to post some pics for this weeks bud porn, but I keep forgetting to take them while the lights are off. The pics just suck under a HPS light. Today is Day 50 of 12/12 I believe. I am starting to give them straight water now for the flush. It is the final stretch, and I cannot freaking wait to try these ladies out!
