Thanks man, just 5 gallon buckets, 6 inch net pots with expandable clay pebbles.
The tubs are used as a bath to keep the water in the buckets between 64-68°.the tubs are about half full. I switch out ice water bottles Once or twice a day.
yea of course!!! I have an optimal grow environment....for soil.... set up right now, I cant imagine it would be a heck of a lot of difference for dwc. Thats makes sense about the temp of the water too, bacteria love warm temps. but as you said simple, seems like an easy way to get introduced into hydro with out the trial and error of a huge flood table with 10-20-30 sites trying to keep the ph, ppm, water temps in check and running 35-55 gal res.The term simple dwc doesn't mean it's a set it and forget it system. You have to constantly monitor the ph, ppm`s, air temp, water temps etc etc...
Water holds more oxygen at 65° than 75° and you want the most oxygen available for the roots. Water above 69° can create root rot and or other nasties in the root zone.
Nice! The setup is simple but probably the most labor intensive of all the hydroponic set ups.
I'm not trying to discourage you. Just giving u a heads up.
