bluelab guardian worth the $100 over the nutra-dip trimeter?

I can't speak about the Nutra-Dip Trimeter, I have never used one myself and only know of 1 person who currently is running one. I can say that you will not be disappointed with the Guardian if a high end ultra reliable meter is what you are after. I used every stick meter under the sun until I one day said screw it and bought a Guardian, now I will never use anything else. Very easy to set up out of the box, all the buttons are labeled clearly, and I find it to be very accurate as long as you calibrate when it tells you to( The ph4 and ph7 lights will start blinking simultaneously when it is time for a calibration) and you replace the pH pen every 6 months ($50-60). I run them for everything and even put a dedicated Guardian on my cloner so it can be monitored 24/7 from a distance without having to turn off the pump and pull the lid.
 
We hav had no problems with the tri meter. Several growers I work with use them. I personally have/use separated sticks/pens. So it's nice to walk in a see the numbers at a glance
 
ended up getting the nutra dip trimeter, talk about ease of use! H2Hydro in Wayne, MI has them for $190 out the door, best price in the metro area, and they include a free calibration kit.
 
tend to agree about htg. was at horti-toad the other day guy there seemed cool just wasn't impressed on the selection. might have just been an off day. my go to now is hydromaster
 
I own a guardian, works great, has alarms, has never failed.
I owned a tri-meter, it fucked up and had to be repowered all the time, I returned it to the hydro shop and he said they had some problems with other ones too.
 
I bought a grow boss nutradip tri meter upgraded with the rf shielding all I can say is it works great I let it sit stored in storage solution for over six moths and when I went to calibrate it and put in my res is was still right on ph4/7 I didn't even have to re calibrate it !

I disagree on htg lights,I've been running dozens of htg digital ballasts & hoods for over 8 years now & have had only 1 go bad,bought it online & took it to a brick n mortar store when it was 6.5 years old & was given a new multi ballast for free

The ballasts are fine. Hoods not so much, i think there junk compared to hydro farm or sunlight supply. That just just been my experience.i do buy smaller items from them, like ratchets and miscellaneous things. Never an exhaust fan or filter(junk)
