Just received this email today:
Ladies and Gentlemen-
As of late yesterday, I have been given the cease and desist orders for our current generation product, SPYDR 1200, 1000, 600, etc. Orders on our current generation products are officially over. As many of you already knew and were aware, we are in the process of transforming our company in both the re-branding and new generation products. We feel these changes will not only enhance you and your customers but will continue to build strong relationships between Fluence and our retail brand ambassadors. We are excited about the interest in our new solutions as well as taking the step of moving things forward to the new generation of products. Many of you have been supporting us from the current generation and we are thrilled to continue our relationships.
Please be aware of the following information as it relates how we are moving forward:
- Those of you who have placed orders recently, or have orders in the queue of current generation products, understand that those orders will be fulfilled.
- Many of you have shown an interest in ordering 4 or so lights to test, with ordering significant more being conditional to performance. There will be no exceptions to ordering a few current generation products to test. Since we have always built to order, there will be no overages or warehousing of current generation models. For servicing purposes, we will have some parts to repair current generation malfunctions or failures. These will be handled on a case by case basis, either through myself, or our support team in Austin.
- Since we are processing and completing final orders of current generation products, we feel that we will speed up our efficiencies on the new generation as we will be only focused on one set of manufacturing. Currently, we are attempting to produce both which is producing challenges and hence our decision to eliminate this cost deficiency. We feel this focus will create a potential quicker delivery time of new generation products.
Furthermore, this decision under no circumstance that I have been made aware, is open for discussion. Ultimately, at some point in our transformation, this decision had to be made.
I realize that we also have some loose ends to complete in terms of pricing, retail partner agreements, and final specifications of our new generation products. I can tell you through the same discussion with ownership, we are committed to having these items resolved by year end as final costs, testing, and manufacturing details are completed.
In advance, I would like to thank you for you understanding. I have attempted to be forthright and transparent about the new generation of products and programs and will continue to deploy that approach to my customers and colleagues. We
All the best,
