Honestly manifolds and bulkheads make me nervous. I could do a second tote, run another feed line, half the plants from one tote and half from the other.Looking great.
How about a second tote with quick connect fittings? Alternate between the two or plumb them together?
As soon as I posted the “plumb together “ I realized what a lame suggestion it was, lol. I would prefer a second tote of same size for familiarity/consistency, less thinking/adjustment to routine. I like routine, probably what is keeping me from setting up blumats, lol.Honestly manifolds and bulkheads make me nervous. It's a good idea if I could pull it off without any leaks. I don't have that confidence lol.As soon as I posted the “plumb together “ I realized what a lame suggestion it was, lol. Thank you, I'm running 15 gallon. 20 - 25 would be ideal and get me through a week without having to top up. How many plants will you be running?Great journal, grow and room.
I’m about to go blumats and have been pondering the same issues w res size and location.
You can buy a new rez. Hydrofarm has them in lots of different sizes. They sound expensive but I can say I've had one for 20 years......so that's pretty damn good. And that's been moved and beat up a lot.Thank you, I'm running 15 gallon. 20 - 25 would be ideal and get me through a week without having to top up. How many plants will you be running?
$99 CAD for the 25 gallon reservoir and $49 for the lid. That's not terrible. You can buy a new rez. Hydrofarm has them in lots of different sizes. They sound expensive but I can say I've had one for 20 years......so that's pretty damn good. And that's been moved and beat up a lot.
I think mine is a 45gal. Short of standing on it this thing has seen some battle.$99 CAD for the 25 gallon reservoir and $49 for the lid. That's not terrible.

Looking at 6 to 12.Thank you, I'm running 15 gallon. 20 - 25 would be ideal and get me through a week without having to top up. How many plants will you be running?
That's gonna be tight! My room is 6x3 and it's pretty tight with six plants in two gallon pots and I do very little veg time. If you go three gallon you'll need two carrots per pot to keep it sufficiently moist. I'm running two gallon fabric pots and that seems to be working well. I'll probably switch to nursery pots once I run out of fabric ones.Looking at 6 to 12.
Ive gone overboard with clones, in my 28”x55” space.
So thinking if I keep them in 1 gallon and feed w the blumats, it’s possible.
Ideally I’d like to be in 3 gal.
The 50 gallon is 39" x 39" that's wider than my room and would hang off the side.I think mine is a 45gal. Short of standing on it this thing has seen some battle.
Go with a little more than the 25 maybe. To grow into.
Botanicare has a 40galThe 50 gallon is 39" x 39" that's wider than my room and would hang off the side.
It's white. Won't that allow light penetration?
I think you can get in black. Or maybe it's their economy version. It's white. Won't that allow light penetration?
Yes it's 2x4 16" apart. Walls are OSB on the inside only. It's incredibly heavy and strong, you can move or rock it. When I was crawling around on top it didn't creak or anything like that.
Not even close to the 40gal I was doing the math forI’m close to the same weight as 15 gallons. 25 is 208.
40 Gallons would definitely be way overkill for my current setup. I don't think it would have a problem supporting 330 lbs tho.Not even close to the 40gal I was doing the math for
Hi Willie! Thank you for dropping by, good to see you aroundLG,
So glad that your med card (or whatever it's called up north) finally came through for you.
You are on your way to the big leagues!
I don't make it over to RUI very often, but I saw @BobBitchen's name over on the other forum and remembered that you had mentioned that you had seeds from him. So, I decided to stop in, and with a little search, I found your journal.
I love the changes you have made to your growing method; it seems to be treating you well!
And the genetics seem to be agreeing with you as well. I've seen pictures of Bob's Meltdown over where I'm at, and its always frosty AF!
Good luck with moving forward.
Cheers,
WillieP
