That is likely no longer true. What I am hearing from large scale growers is they have been moving away from HPS. Of course they are in competition and do not reveal what they are doing to their competitors. Heliospectra is making inroads in cannabis. Everybody that has one loves them. I even wrote a PHP app that uses the 9 channels of wavelengths as the bars on a graphic equalizer to play music to plants. Plays an MP3 with 20 millisecond response time.
I am not a big fan of Kind. I do not think they can be call horrible either. They are built very well and off high efficiency using top shelf components. They also have features that many grower do not need. Before someone calls a product horrible they should have solid evidence that what they are saying is true.
@hybridway2 is the only one that backed what he said. I also have high regard for what he has to say. He know how to grow weed.
I would like to clarify I do not believe Blue and Red is the correct spectrum for cannabis. White is a safe spectrum as it covers all the bases. And it works very well.
Neither do I think white is the best. It is by far the most economical.
I took this picture a minute ago. This is my work in progress table. Notice white strips. The other stuff are custom tuneable 7 channel boards. Each channel can use any wavelength. The LEDs are on little PCBs that are screwed on to the main board. The intensity for each channel is programmable from 0 to 1023 where 1023 is 100%. The strips are for a personal project.
Disclaimer: I do not have any commercial interests that would bias my opinion here. I am not in competition with any one here that does have commercial interests. I am not taking on any more new clients.
