Oh, I will lolGood luck. If you need help just ask.
Actually, one question for now -- should I be giving them any other food, like Bloom food (or something like that)?

I’m a neat freak and I like symmetry lol. I’ve topped every single plant I’ve grown for years now. On topping, Perfectly equal on both sides.I pose the question

What nutrients are you feeding them?Oh, I will lol

I'm giving them Fox Farm (pictures attached) but I'm only giving them about 1/3 of what the directions specify. When I was following the directions initially, I was shown by these guys that I needed to back off the nutrients, so I started backing off and found this to work. What nutrients are you feeding them?
If you are following the schedule from fox farms you are doing the right thing. I suggest incrementally increasing the nutes now as you go. I'd add 5% each time you feed until you begin to notice the tips of the leaves slightly burning. Thats where you stop for a while.I'm giving them Fox Farm (pictures attached) but I'm only giving them about 1/3 of what the directions specify. They're drinking about a gallon of water every 3-4 days.
Completely open to suggestion.
Fair enough. For me I stopped topping long ago. I dont care how the plant looks tbh. As long as it's healthy and has a bunch of colas I'm happy. So LST works for me. I don't like to slow growth in any stage thst I can avoid.I’m a neat freak and I like symmetry lol. I’ve topped every single plant I’ve grown for years now. On topping, Perfectly equal on both sides.
Keep in mind I use fox farms trio exclusivelyI'm giving them Fox Farm (pictures attached) but I'm only giving them about 1/3 of what the directions specify. That is exactly what I've been doing. I figured that out early when I burned a few leaves lolIf you are following the schedule from fox farms you are doing the right thing. I love Fox Farm! It'll be my selection for every grow.Keep in mind I use fox farms trio exclusively
Yes, they are. This has 6% nitro. I'm thinking I need to switch to Big Bloom for flowering?People do say fox farm bottled fertilizers are strong, I was using AN nutrients 3 part and I never got to use full strength either, I fed them just like Wizzlebiz is suggesting and I stopped at 3/4 of strength, my plants were happy and healthy.
You will still need nitrogen through out your flowering cycle. Just not nearly as much as during veg. That is exactly what I've been doing. I figured that out early when I burned a few leaves lol
Also, I just thought about something else -- if during flowering, nitro wasn't needed, I should probably switch from Grow Big to Big Bloom, you think?
Does it matter that the soil I'm using has nitro as well? It's organic potting soil. Sorry if that's a dumb question. I'm learning lolYou will still need nitrogen through out your flowering cycle. Just not nearly as much as during veg.
Grow big is a 6-4-4 NPK.
Big Bloom is a 0-5-5
With doing what you are considering you would be cutting nitrogen completely out of the scenario.
No. The nitrogen in the soil has been depleted around week 5 or so.Does it matter that the soil I'm using has nitro as well? It's organic potting soil. Sorry if that's a dumb question. I'm learning lol
Ahhh, got it! I was confused because in all the articles I've read, it says cut the nitro in flower stage but doesn't specify when, so I was just worried. I'm sticking with you. Thank you again!)Here's is the fox farms feeding schedule.
You will notice it has grow big up until the last 2-3 weeks of flower.
Stick with this schedule for your 1st grow. Once you have began to recognize the subtle signs of deficiency you can begin canceling and reintroducing as needed.
That's my suggestion. View attachment 4824525

So, just water only for now. Got it.I also want to add because the soil can supply nutrients for around 5 weeks we don't add any nutrients until then. We don't want to overload the plants.
