Im currently growing in my shed and have electricity running from the shed next to mine to the one im using, I haven’t had any power issues during veg, but I am having a problem now after turning the lights up and switching to flower, the humidity is too high (always around 70-80%) and if I run the dehumidifier too long it obviously gets up to 85-90 degrees f. I cannot run both as it is too many watts. Im looking for maybe some suggestions or tips on how I could possibly get humidity down without sacrificing the good temperature, thanks!

Well bigger fan or get more juice out there for a ac.
I’m currently using an ACinfinity t6 6” inline fan. Do you recommend an 8 then? I guess getting more power is really the only option in all reality. Only problem is I will have to run a 150-200ft extension cord as it’s the closest plug to the shed.

Extension cords are dangerous and unreliable
And most are only 14 gauge which is to light for such a long run
Good to know as I did no research and was gonna say fk it. Do you maybe have a suggestion on any possibilities of what could be done? Other than a larger in-line fan. I’ve currently got my dehumidifier running and the AC is on fan mode so it’s not consuming a lot of watts. I’ve also opened 2 doors to my tent aswell to temporarily fix the problem

Are you using power to cool/dehumidify the air in your shed, then pushing the conditioned air right outside with that inline fan, and replacing it with hot, humid air that gets sucked back in from outside?

There is no cheap fix when it comes to the electrical aspect
I guess In theory yes, should I remove the inline fan hose from the window? Wouldn’t directing it back into the room just make it warmer?
also, I am using LED lights, Mars hydro TS3000 I believe
I guess that makes sense. I’m currently not looking at another shed being built for 2 years and this shed is roughly 15-20 years old and has a super hoopty window that is too small for a window AC

Definitely take down the inline fan and close up the window. Try running your shed like a mini "sealed room" for a couple hours and see what happens to your temperatures and humidity.
With your fan constantly pulling air out of the room, you're constantly pulling in hot, humid outside air into the room. Your equipment reads the high temps and humidity, and starts running to adjust things. Then your conditioned air is Immediately sucked out and replaced with more, hot humid air. And your equipment runs, trying to adjust that new air. Which is then sucked out and replaced with more hot, humid air.
Theoretically if you remove your extraction fan your AC and dehumidifier can fix your conditions, then stop instead of just running 100% of the time. Try it and see.
Just to be sure, you are running your lights in the cool night time and keeping lights out during the hot day, right?
I will certainly try as I did think that maybe the exhaust fan is stopping the room from getting a relative temp. Also no I have my lights on during the day, I do have to access the shed that the tent is in a few times a day so I was worried about light leak if I had the lights off during the day

He said like 200ft. That's an insane distance to push all that at elec through an extension cord. In my eyes that is an electrical fire waiting to happen. A football field is 360ft. That coard is stretched out more than half a football field. YIKES. but hey if it works

The extension cords are your issue. Run a Romex line from your breaker box. 30 amp breaker n add a heater filter on the opposite wall from your exhaust fan (bout canopy height. Yes I realize you’ll have to cut your shed. It’s just a shed) The filter will allow air to flow freely and keep the bugs out. And use 14 ga wire

We're talking about a month or so of humidity. Of course i would NEVER recommend extension cords in the grow room permanently, but why do they make cords that long then? If he finds an outlet on a breaker that isnt overloaded, a 200 ft 14 ga extension cord could run a 8" inline no problem. That's maybe 2 amps. That might get him through his problem right now, and he can plan accordingly for next grow.
