#Brexit & #Texit

All I'm saying is that if there is a Political campaign in Texas for a Texit, the History is here and the people do have the will whenever the History is equivalent to a current issue. That is what Texas is about.

If there is a campaign, a lot of people will at first say they don't want to leave the Union. But once the campaign gets going and a vote gets closer, and people start hearing debates and seeing people speak, they will want to leave the Union. And will leave.

If you study history like you say you do...then you studied the Civil War. Why the fuck do you go on and on and on about Texas seceding? You will not secede...only a tiny lunatic fringe wants to do that, a bunch of racist idiots who read John Birch books...and that lunatic fringe will be fucking CRUSHED in about 20 minutes. Bigger countries than Texas got utterly destroyed by the US military and no US president, Democrat or Republican will ever fucking stand for anybody seceding...ever...

How fucking high are you? Where do you dream up these radical ideas? You actually think you can come up with some utterly ridiculous legal precedent to leave the union? Good fucking luck. It's a martial law death wish.

Not to mention the Republicans need Texas bad...the Koch brothers will personally squash that shit.

I told Texas about your offer. But it's holding out for a lifted truck, a camouflage colored shotgun, and a couple cases of Budweiser.
Don't you mean America?

You have to stay BW.

You said that you learned 'WAAAAYYY more' about Texas history in school.

And you have no way of knowing that. Period...
Unless you went to my school(s) too.

I got nothing against you kid, but you do copy and paste out your ass sometimes...

I have family that walked there, alongside their horses and wagons, and settled Texas.

But of course he knows more about Texas than we do.

The term "six flags over Texas" refers to several nations that have ruled over the territory.

Spain was the first European country to claim the area of Texas. France held a short-lived colony.

Mexico controlled the territory until 1836 when Texas won its independence, becoming an independent Republic.

In 1845, Texas joined the United States as the 28th state. The state's annexation set off a chain of events that caused the Mexican–American War in 1846.

A slave state before the American Civil War, Texas declared its secession from the US in early 1861, and officially joined the Confederate States of America on March 2 of the same year.

After the Civil War and the restoration of its representation in the federal government, Texas entered a long period of economic stagnation.

drunk driving laws only effect drunk drivers though, not "the much greater majority". jesusfuck. people have some really bad ideas.
About ten years ago the state police had a traveling "drunk driving" simulator they were taking around to bars so people could see what diving drunk is actually like. They scraped the program after 2 weeks when it started showing people could actually drive just fine at, and well above, legal limits. Big back fire. I have no problem with dangers in life, makes it more interesting and keeps people alert. Read my liberty/safety quote.

And, in case you forgot what "Remember the Alamo" means.

Several thousand soldiers under the command of Mexican Gen. Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna had Travis and some 189 other defenders surrounded.

The young Texas colonel - only 26 - was a lawyer, not a professional military man, but Travis knew enough history to understand that in a siege, the army on the outside usually prevails over the army on the inside.

So he gathered his fellow defenders that Saturday afternoon and gave them a speech.

"We must die," he began. "Our business is not to make a fruitless effort to save our lives, but to choose the manner of our death."

He saw three possibilities: Surrender and summary execution, trying to fight their way out only to be "butchered" by Mexican lancers or "remain in this fort…resist every assault, and to sell our lives as dearly as possible."

Then, with a flourish, Travis drew his sword and slowly marked a line in the dirt. "I now want every man who is determined to stay here and die with me to come across this line."

Young Tapley Holland made his decision quickly, proclaiming "I am ready to die for my country!" as he jumped over the line. It's hard to picture it as a stampede - the men knew they were voting to die - but all but two of them walked over the line. Co-commander Jim Bowie, lying sick on a cot, asked some of his men to carry him across. Only Louis Moses Rose, a French soldier of fortune, remained behind.
So Americans invade a country, forcible take land, then "defend it", the Mexicans take action against illegal immigrants occupying their land and Texans are proud of this? The same Texans that I hear saying to put up a wall at the border?

Spoken like a true drunk driver.

Yeah. All those people that have had drunk drivers hit their homes and gotten killed or injured should have been more alert. It's their fault really, when you think about it. Look at how big their house is and it's near the street and shit! They are just asking to get hit IMHO.
