If you recall the report indicates good values at low current. If you have to sink these you might be driving them too hard. Same thing with the reg eb gen3, you should be much over nominal if you want to stay competitive with sammies and nichias. But the slims would be, imho, too flimsy to not mount on heatsinks. Catch 24
I cant remember who or where but im pretty sure there are some reg eb gen3 2700k 90cri for sale somewhere. They would be a better suited

Actually as it turns out the Samsung Q strips are more efficient than the bridgelux gen 3, Samsung tests their strips at 40c and bridgelux tests theirs at 25c
