So currently im just about to finish my grow, ive never made bubble hash before but i love the stuff and i def think its worth it to buy bubble bags to do this. As of right now i have just over a QP of dried lemon skunk trim and popcorn buds, my hashplant haze and mk ultra will be done within a week or so and i plan on using all the trim and popcorn buds from those as well. How much trim should i start with to get a decent amount of hash, i would like to produce 20+ grams, if it means that i have to save all my trim till the next grow is done ill be down, i just need to know.

I bought the bags to see what the hype was about and went back to making iso hash as it hits so much better. I dont need different grades of hash and the bags give me two grades normally and the taste is nothing compared to the iso. I will probably start an argument but maybe you should just try one jar full of popcorn buds for iso and then get the bags so you can compare. I use the 91% iso as it evaps faster than the 70. After the iso hash evaps in my glass pan I like to mix another batch and pour on top of the previous so it comes out thicker. I have yet to make ice hash that is as strong as the iso with lots of oil and gooey full melt couch lock hash. Let us know what you ended up doing

Ive made iso hash a couple of times and i def thought it was good but i personally didnt think it smoked as good as bubble does, but ill def think about using some to try it out and do a side by side comparison. But generally how much hash do you get per amount of trim, like for instance lets say i get a half pound of popcorn buds and trim, overall how much hash do you think i could make with that.

Also with bubble bags can you only use them once or can you use them multiple times?

The bubble bags are re usable and very durable, mine are thick material and I have not done large batches as I only do enough to fill a mason jar when doing iso then allow that to evap and do another batch in same pan without removing the previous or leaving most in the pan after i get a good scrape to get high on while waiting, I use a pan I guess thats about 6x14 and it produces about 10 grams each time from a mason jar full which I guess is about oz and a half or 45-50 grams. I normally use all the trim when I use the bubble bags and this is probably why I dont enjoy the hash as much because its normally pretty dry and cumbly where I prefer soft and gooey where I can slice with razer blade. Bags come in 1 gallon up to 32 gallon sizes. I would go with the 5 gallon as the small 1 gallon ones are a pain to deal with. Bags will last for years though

It's a 10-1 ratio. 100 grams of quality trim will produce 10 grams of quality hash. I usually put about 150 into the washer bag and come out with 15-17 grams of hash. Make sure not to have powdered material to start with or you'll have tons of contaminates.

What type of washer do you use and how much did it cost you?

10 to 1?

How come I can't get any better than 25 to 1.

One grow I had was even worse. I produced 8 lbs of bud, and 22ish grams of bubble hash.

Didn't weigh the trim, though, so I can't imagine the ratio of that hash pull. 200 to 1? lol. You can imagine how much trim you can get off of an 8 lb crop!

The mini washer was from bubblebags.com. I reccomend using a full size if you have anything significant. I processed about 12 ounces of bubble hash from my outdoor grow of last season and it was fucking murder using that small washer. A full size washer is about 250 compared to the mini at 200.

I made my first batch of bubble hash recently, and was very happy with the quality, yet disappointed with the yield. I had around 300 grams of trimmings, and ended up with about 10 grams of hash. But, I also had the majority of my fan leaves in there too,(which are poor quality material) so that had to be a good percentage of the 300 grams. That made sense, because when i thought about it, one tiny leaf off of a bud probably had as many trichs on it as all the fan leaves off of an entire plant. Basically, it showed me that it's the quality of the trim/bud that determines yield, not weight. Anyway, the hash was top-quality stuff, and was damn near pure trichs in the 25 micron bag, so I was happy with my first results. Took a hell of a long time though, using one gallon bags. Those bastards take forever to drain, especially when you use too much material.LOL

I DEFINITELY recommend going with at least the 5 gallon bags. The 1 gallon bags, IMO, aren't much good unless you only plan to do like an oz of trimmings at a time, otherwise, plan on spending a loooong time making the stuff. It was taking me like 5 hours to make one batch, with the 1 gallon bags.

Oh yeah, I should also mention this....if you don't want to fork out like $200 for the real bubble bags, there are some good quality cheaper ones on Ebay, but there are also some shitty ones too. The 1 gallon bags I bought are excellent quality, and the micron sizes are correct. But, the 5 gallon bags that I bought from a different seller, are crap, because the 73 and 25 micron bags are the same exact mesh size. When I did the first batch, I got a nice batch in the 73 micron bag, and everything just ran right through the 25 micron bag. WTF? So, I ran the mix back through my 1 gallon bags and got a really nice batch in the 25 bag, which told me that the 25 bag in the 5 gallon set were bigger than 25 micron, and I'd be willing to bet money that they are the same mesh as their 73 micron bag.

If anybody is interested, I'll post a link to the seller to avoid, and which one has good quality bags. :)

Word thanks for the info! What do you mean by powdered material? ive already grinded up my qp of lemon skunk trim/buds, i mean its not superduper crumbley dry but i did let it sit in my closet for a day before throwing it in the freezer.

I mean that if it's crumbly dry then you will get some green material in your hash. I like mine pure. When you wash the weed it should look like coffee with cream, if its greenish then it was too dry.

sprungbags.com has nice bags for a good deal. 80 shipped in us, and they are good quality materials. Used them in my first grow if you wanted to see them.
