Bubblegum 3 weeks flower + clones

I'm growing in soil too got the bubblegums as clones and been veggin them for about a month now they r pretty bushy know what u mean about the massive rootballs on them i have hydroton on the bottom of my 3 gal pots and i can see that the roots made it down too the bottom dont want to transplant them so I thought i would just set the 3 gal into a 5 gal so that the roots can find there way down into the new soil. Should i cut the bottom out of the 3 gal pot or just let the roots find the drainage holes ? Thanks for any advice also I was wanting to take clones from the bubblegums think I'm going to veg them about another 2 weeks is it better too take the clones the last week of veg or 1-2 weeks into flower thanks again bro ?

I really cant answer u on how u gonna fit them more space...I just transplant mine and all the time they take off after transplant rather than stunt...never had that problem. More space for roots is never a bad thing, I mean in nature they have all the space they could want. I'm currently flowering ladies in 35litre (7,7gallon) ceramic pots wich I think contribute to the massive root growth, and I think its due to that the ceramic keeps the temperature in the soil at a more constant temperature cuz the ceramic "stores" some heat while the plastic doesnt and also protects the "outer" roots from drying due to high temperatures...I might very well be wrong....just my thought after trying both kinds and seen the results on both plants and roots :hug:

I take my clones day b4 I start 12/12 light cycle. When I have taken flowering clones at 2 weeks, they took forever to root and to start growing, and the growth was "weird" in many places...so Ima keep on taking vegging clones...at least on this strain.

your grow is looking good man...what setup did you use for your first ever grow? i havent started but i think i might go with a CFl setup then eventually get a hps light or mh ... but after seeing your ladies i might just straight up get a hps light

Lol my first ever grow was as experimental as it can get LOL! 6 years ago I put a bagseed in w.e soil it was under a normal 40w bulb...HAHAHAHA!!! It grew for bout 10 days then it slowly died...I wonder why?! :-o

2nd grow was in a closet using floros and CFL's...that grow was also LOL. This was like 4-5 year ago. Went pretty OK for a newbie, but buds were "fluffy".

After that grow i spent surely round 200h reading up, watching youtube videos, the "green" guy every1 has seen + a brittish growing video + more....helped me alot and after that I had very few problems.

Now I have a few grows under my belt...I do things right to the right cost =) It's kinda a challenge for me to get good weed for less money...last grow my weed cost me around 2-3$/gram :mrgreen:

I mean how fun is it to buy tents and stuff allready done just to plug in, then u have nothing to "build"? and I love that...just what I think...I'm a handyman =P

At what stage are u topping the plant ? I have some bubblegum kush I wanted to try that on let me know how it turns out. I just did'nt have the balls to cut into that sexy lookin bitch lol And when is too late too top ? When I try it I think I'm going to do it early in the veg stage maybe when it has its 4th to 5th node does that sound right ? Good luck with that. Love the buds bro there lookin really good. How many days you got left in flower ?

Thx! By the looks on how they are progressing I'd say they have 10-14 days left, meaning they will be ready for harvest after 57-61 days of flowering, beginning to mid 9th week of flower. I check the trichs daily 2 times to see how its going. They might very well go another week, but it doesnt look like it.

2 of the plants got topped in veg since my 2 dogs ate up a lot of branches on them and had to be topped...I know people that top in veg, I also know people who top 2 weeks into flower. Personally I will never top a plant again, stunts the plants too hard, the FIM I did looks really nice now and hasnt affected the plant like a topping has...I only tried FIM on 1 plant so far in my life so I might be wrong :mrgreen:

I think in the future I will stick to LST, SCROG and just plain old letting them grow. :joint:

i topped my plants as soon as the second set of leaves comes up and it barely slows the plant down. works great too. take a look at my journal im still new so im experimenting a lot.yours looks great though, should fatten up nicely :blsmoke:

Thx!

A topping done at different stages of growth will most certainly affect the plant in different ways. But I'd rather LST or SCROG to maximize. Thx for your thoughts.

My whole apartment smells...LOL...its a big apartment and only 2 big plants in flower! When I turn off fans theres a sweet aroma filling up the grow room...ME LIKE! :blsmoke:

hey, i've read that some people that use organics never flush the soil. they say they cannot tell the difference in taste after drying and curing compared to when they did flush. lut us know what you decide.☻

I have decided to go a bit longer till harvest than I said b4. I cut of 2 small nugs, not popcorn, to look on them closer for an over all verdict. Trichs where under daylight not HPS looking still a bit clear, not at all that much amber as I have thought b4 + they dont look "ripe" yet for another 14 days at least. They are swollen though and stone hard covered in trichs...but the pistills havent started their way back into their pods yet...they just dont look ready, they not supposed to be ready yet, I mean they dont look to be ready as soon as I'd thought b4 :weed:

The manufacturer of the nutes I use (BioBizz) recomend u flush last week up till harvest...and I think they wouldnt recomend it unless they really thought it was needed, I mean they would be selling more nutes if they recomend using nutes all the way up till harvest, no?! Anywho...I've been flushing b4 on my grows but this time I think I will just water them w plain PH'd water last 7-9 days. They drink each bout 1-1,2litres every 36-48h, so i figured 4-5 waterings w only water should rinse them out well enough making them use up all nutes thats left. :hump:

a flush is the removal of 95% of all the nutrients into the soil. which the plant receives none at all for the last weeks. just watering them with plain water will allow the plant to absorbs what is left of the nutes. the goal is to prevent nutrient absorbsion. water them with plain water isn't the goal since the The manufacturer of the nutes you use (BioBizz) recomend u flush last week up till harvest...

I know what a flush is and ur right about that BioBiz recomend flush, but by the last watering before harvest i bet the plants have used up those possibly stored nutes in the soil, by then they have been fed 9-10 days of only water and they have been in that particular soil for around 10 weeks?! Maybe this time i do a semi-flush. Is there something called a semiflush, if not there is now...LOL?! I will water them just water up till last 3-4 days and give them a proper flush, let dry up and then harvest?! Also its such big pots and they are sooo heavy...ceramic...hehe...dun wanna move them unless I have too xD I dont have a big reservoir for water either...so its allways a b**ch PH:ing all that water :evil:

Now u got me started...ima read up on different flushing methods...u can allways improve something :hug:

I searched around here on the forum on the topic "flushing" and I found an amusing thread :mrgreen:

So week 7 has come to an end and flowering week 8 starts tomorrow.

Trichs are almost all cristal clear, again. I have learned during this grow that the "amber" in trichs go in "waves" as I have read in a thread bout harvesting...this was new to me. DONT HARVEST TOO EARLY! theese 2 threads are great for harvesting tips!

Anywho, I went to IKEA today and bought some air tight glass jars in different sizes. I saw a post few weeks back some1 saying theese jars are expensive. The 4 jars u see in the pic cost alltogether 10$ at IKEA, is that not cheap?! :mrgreen:

Biggest jar is 2litre (0,52gallon). Also I couldnt resist getting the plant u see next to the glass jars. It's a Euphorbia Lactea, looks funny =)

The other pic is a comparison, 1 vegging clone and 1 flowering clone. As u can see the flowering clone is growing some weird leaves but buds are growing normal. I think this i due to the flower-veg-flower changes. We'll see how she turns out in the end.

No new pics of the big ladies...looks pretty much the same as last update, but buds are filled out lil more. The end is near, I can smell it! :blsmoke:

Isnt there an episode of FG where Stuey is gonna "kill" all the broccoli on the planet? It sure looks like a "smushed together piece of brocolli" or perhaps a slice of a brain? I bought it also cuz on the top it looks like it has trichs...hehe...on the stem it has thorns. Ima get some better pics soon on all my girls...just need new batteries for my camera. Im super exited bout the northern lights...I love the high...even though its an Indica it produces a somewhat "up" and clear high. Hoping one of them is a strong male so I can try my first ever seed breeding + cross Bubblegum x Northern lights. It's in my dreams, would be fun to try! :weed:

I dont even know if its a good idea to cross them 2...I'm mearly in the fact seeking stage of seed breeding and crossing strains.

This morning (day 49 12/12) I cut of a small nug below a top bud, let it air dry during the day, when lights turned off I cut up that lil nug in smaller pieces and dried it for bout 1 hour on a piece of aluminium foil ontop of the warm 400W ballast. Before any1 tells me "DONT DO THAT"...I KNOW...it was just that my friend wasnt gonna be home today and I love my sundays...needed something to smoke so why not try a lil nug. So I did and here I am stoned the fk out...smoke was smooth, the bubblegum taste wasnt really there yet and ofc I could taste the chlorophyll but not any nute tatste or headache due to smoking chemicals...I grow organics maybe thats why?! Anywho...it was great even though picked way too early and dried in a fast way...never to recomend. I cant wait to taste them fully ripe and properly cured....gaaaaaah!
