Bud rot , potassium bicarbonate

I am a newbie grower. This morning I saw some purple/brownish sugar leaves, i pulled them and they came right off. This was on two different buds. This is probably bud rot? It is raining now, so can´t take picture until the afternoon. Luckily the next two weeks are going to be rain free, but there is dew every morning, so that amount of humidity is probably like rain every day?

My question is, I am getting potassium bicarbonate package soon. Can I use it this late in flower? I am in approx. week 6, 75% of pistils have turned orange/brown.

I will post pics later

And what is the best advice with bud rot? Cut the diseased parts?

THANKS!!! I hope my two two plants will survive :( :)

Open the bud and look. It’s easy to see. Cut away damaged buds entirely. Decrease humidity or increase air flow or both. The problem starts with moisture. Suggest not adding more. Spraying anything once bud is formed is not advisable.

Thanks! I removed infected buds. The problem is I have 80-100% humidity in the night and dew all night until sun starts. Luckily no rain next two weeks, but the humidity is horrible...
I can not decrease humidity unfortunately unless I control the weather patterns :D:D I wish I could for some weeks

I hear you. We had the second wettest August on record. Lost the first plant ever to bud rot this year. Air moving 24/7 including timed extraction fan at night. Only one plant but it still sucked.

I'm not an outdoor grower but a tip I've heard is to decrease watering to the bare minimum. Also, shake water off the plants every morning, and after rain. Use a leaf blower if possible. If you are in your back yard, get a fan on the plants. Keep scouring the plants for more signs and remove any mold as early as possible, good luck!

I've used it for pm, it did ok at managing it at a tablespoon per gallon. I tried adding soap as a surfactant, but it burned the leaves.

It washes off the plant easily, which can be a benefit if you're close to harvest, if not you can add a tablespoon of vegetable oil to your potassium spray which helped it stick to the plant and increase its effectiveness.

Would only spray on a sunny day in mid afternoon, so as not to keep the buds wet, but it does dry and kill the mold spores.
