Well I was afraid of this but number 4, the haze dom, has seeds all over her. I noticed red hairs a few days ago and searched for male flowers but I found none, still can't find any male flowers. It seems it is just this one plant, and given the thai parentage of the blueberry, I'm sure that the stress I caused early on and possible light pollution are the only reason she is seeded. I don't think it is any of the other plants herming because the placement of #4 and the fact it is the top buds that are most affected.
I'm going to let her go till I can physically find male parts, risky move I know but I want to make sure I find the guilty party. Plus, I think the damage might have been done early on when I was not checking for male flowers as diligently as I should have, maybe three week mark. I'll keep an eye out and update as I find more out.
Again, I don't think it was the strain but rather the stress of not being transplanted out of the original rock wool cube they we're germinated in. This #4 was the fastest and largest plant, so since the other three were smaller plants they suffered less than #4.
What happen was I had to move out west so my buddy "did me a favor" by starting the seeds for me. Instead of him starting each seed in its own 4x4 cube, he put all 10 seeds into a single 4x4 cube, and there they stayed for 3 weeks. By the time I got out they were needing transplant super bad but I had to do other shit as I just drove 2200 miles so my buddy watched them for another week. My buddy also forgot to water the cube with 10 seedlings, #4 being the biggest at about 10 inches, and I thought they were toast but they pulled through like champs. So this hermie doesn't surprise me. It sucks but we'll still have some smoke and now have some s1 buddha's dream haze pheno seeds. I think the dark cycle might have been interrupted at one point early on too from people popping their heads were they don't belong.
Sucks but this is what happens when you depend on people that have no passion for growing, they don't give a fuck about "some plant". The worst part was my buddy had a whole pack of 4x4 cubes just sitting there and he was like "Oh I guess I should have put each of them in their own cubes." Yep, should have cause now we got some seeded ass bud!
This run is just to find a different pheno to run clones from for a bit anyway. I'll have to wait another few weeks to find a new space to run things proper. So far it looks like #1 with her super dank berry/haze smell is going to be the keeper, although it has smaller buds, it does grow fast and does respond to stress less easily than #4. I will run this hermie #4 again but will trash it if it hermies again. What a waste it would be to throw the clone away though, it smells very good almost like juicy fruit gum or tropical tango from bubblicious gum.
