Pretty sure it was lack of decarb that was the problem with those cookies. I took another 39g of some funky stuff from last year and ground it up and decarbed for the recommended 30 min. It actually lost 2.9g or 7.4% after the decarb. So now ill take that 36g of decarbed+ grinded nugs and add it into the crocpot with 3 sticks of the last batch and 1 fresh stick of butter. I know for sure it will taste strong as hell, but we shall see about the effects. Im sure it will be better than last time. And yes decarbing smells pretty strong too.

I am hopeing for some nice potent snacks....Im glad i can just re-use the "unactive" butter rather than just throwing it out. I am kindof worried about the taste being awful, but if i need to ill re melt with fresh water to take out some more nastiness (ive heard this can help with the green taste).

went out for a feed and saw my girls didn't like all that rain we had. As you can see they couldn't handle the weight. Fed them the usual but cut some top colas off of "eastie" (the bigger one on the right) After seeing that and finding a little bud rot , I am thinking its time to start bringing some home on every trip. Its early but if I do it slowly it will work out just fine.

3 pics of the leaners, unfocused shot of the budrot, and the colas I brought home. Sticking my nose in these buds they have a nice grapeish smell ,but almost a piney after-smell...:-)

Thanks marco, I knew it couldn't be 100% better than straight in the ground. Plus I don't get much wind out there so they don't have very big muscles(branches) to hold up the tops. According to my calendar Its about 7.5 weeks now, so I will be getting the drying room ready for big numbers. Pretty sure no more feedings for the woods, start bringing home a bunch every couple days. And let the home girls really mature the right way.

Went out with chopping on my mind. Took out the tops of both big ones. one had bigger more developed buds, and the others were less developed, but smelled better. Just got the tops so theres still plenty out there. Want to give them all a while longer to mature a little more.... I still cant get a decent trich shot up close. Always comes out fuzzy... (on the racks is "eastie" and long string is "westie")

Maybe you do and I missed it cus I haven't looked through your thread much, but I am curious... Why do you grow in containers? I am assuming this is a gorilla grow based on the pics? I just ask because I imagine you could get better results while being more stealthy if you'd put them in the ground. Idk though, everybody's situation is different.

Yes you did miss it, Those are actually bottomless. Its a guerilla grow and I cant dig down very far without hitting a boulder, so I had to come up somehow. Most of them have decent sized holes under them. Its also a way for me to get them up higher because I don't get good sun early or late in the day. The down side is that's why they fell over. Not really anchored in the ground very wide.

Good stuff. I wonder if you could stake them up or something next year? Sort of how people stake up tents, but attaching the wire/rope to the plant containers? I don't know, that may look way out of place then?

^I don't have to worry about looks too much. Not like anybodys going to just walk anywhere in sight of these. And helicopters in my area are looking for bigger stuff than what ive got going.(at least im not worried about being seen from the sky) And I should have been smart enough to stake them up, last year I had this happen to a couple.
ALSO I did chop most of the potted one at home before the rains came. Nice solid nuggets looking good and frosty.
And the cookies I made came out much better after decarbing, I am loving edibles!!!

Bummer, Landowner was half way down my "path" so I cut all 3 in the woods. then the next day someone came and took most of my best one at home and a bunch of tops. I got what I could but its early:cry:...I fucking hate people. They made a quick grand. I left one out that was really early and they came back the next night and took it. could have been 3 or 4 different people but definatly someone I know. (neighbors, or carpenter). At least they didn't rip them all up. I am grateful for that. Ill be back with pics after work.

Ive been pissed, trimming to this CD.:-x

^Yea im not a big metal head, But they do make some killer music.

As far as the grows, Im lucky I got what I did, and about 8 weeks of flowering. could have been less. Got a pic of the roots of the potted one, and a shot of some of the nice buds. have some that are bigger too. just wish they could have gone another couple weeks. Next year there will be security measures. weight will be on the way, im guessing close to a LB. but we will see.

Actually did pretty decent for being ripped and chopping early.. Got 1.5 Lbs just about on the dot. Really wish I could have let them go longer, But oh so grateful I got something...Ive seen rippers rip whole plants, they got me for maybe a half of a pound. I did a better job this year of keeping everything separate and keeping weights in order, so soon when work slows down ill get some detailed harvest info...Potted one at home smells the best, a sweet grape. also got one at home that Is a Minty lemon smell. Decent trichs for early and denser buds than last year :bigjoint:

Ill start with the stuff in the woods. Eastie came in at 4.4oz pretty good, Westie although taller had quite a bit less (blocked by eastie) came in at 2.8oz. Tiny looked solid at night but when I dried it out it looked very airy and immature, when the sun starts to go down in the fall it doesn't get much light at all. Also has a little root system. only 2.1oz from that one. Didn't get much rain this year which I rely on, I only go out once a week with 4 gal for all of them:roll:. mother nature didn't help me much. Not to mention having to chop early.
But at home I could water them whenever they needed. My problem was the rippers. and chopping early too. The eastern most plant that was put in the ground early had the most. (the front one of the 3 packed in one bed) came out to 6.8oz It smells great so hopefully its a nice buzz. The back one in that bed came out with 4.1oz pretty respectable for being tucked in the back. The one squished in the middle of those 2 was not ready so I left it out, and it got chopped that night:wall: Neighbors I think. The potted one (2.5gal I think) that smells like sweet grape came in at a respectable 3.5oz, I think when I chopped that it made the rippers horny. The front one that got transplanted into the ground late only had 1.8oz, I don't think they got much but I would have expected much more. And the one they got most of in the back only had 1.1 oz of bottom branches. Thanks for the sample:finger: Total 24.4oz, Early but better than nada. :leaf:

Happy November! another nice month in the books. Everything is dry and smoke able, "sweet grape"(potted one) is smoked the most, could be stronger but I find that's the case with a lot of really good smelling plants, the normal smelling stuff is usually stronger. Going to make a super strong batch of butter with the last of 2013 bud and get into making this years butter.
Ive really been into the cookie scene. using bud from last year and its still some killer stuff, cant wait to make a batch with the fresher stuff. Just the way it hits so hard and lasts longer than smoking. The only thing is it can drag me right down so no cookies before work. And I feel like its raising my tolerance, at first 2 cookies would fuck me up, now they just give me a nice buzz. Something Ive got to keep under control.

I love toking on some nice flavoured pot in the afternoon after work to have a relaxed day, I pulled my first grow yesterday, well half of it was reaped and left the other buds fill out and mature abit more, I have got insufficent funds for this grow which led me growing into the ground with the soil i dug up and a bit at the bottom of the pot it was in. I have oly pulled an ounce and i got sick of seeing leafy buds for the day hahahah, my next grow will be a amnesia haze im so keen, because ill be able to prepare my beds with proper fertilisers soils and the such and create my own organic super food

Thanks for the kind words fres, hope your pulling in some tasty nugs yourself.
I Made my latest batch of butter the other day, and something went wrong. I tried to make it stronger (used 1.8 oz per Lb of butter). I decarbed at 250 for 20 min, I did less than 30 because it was bud from 13 months ago. But maybe it was still too much??? But I also had a slight issue with the crock pot, While it was cooking (18 hours) It looked like it was simmering, but every time I went to stir a violent eruption of boiling would rise up from underneath. I think I had so much plant material in my little croc it created a layer that the heat couldn't get through. Maybe it built up too hot and degraded the thc??

Ive also been looking up decarbing a bit more, and I don't put foil over the top to seal it up, I hear this helps with keeping terpines from escaping as much. And there are a lot of opinions on the temp and time, but based on a graph I saw it looked like 250 for 27-30 min was the best (for green bud im assuming) Now all I have is fresh product for butter, so hopefully decarbing will be a little more predictable.
