First time poster here. Been following this forum for years and appreciate the knowledge many of can bring to the table. I started growing about 7-8 years ago with my best friend. It was a small indoor grow in the great (but not legal) state of Idaho. We quickly became addicted to growing and expiramented with hydroponics, bubbleponics, aeroponics, ect. With children coming into the picture we shut our grow down because of the risk involved.Fast forward to today and we now are finishing a new grow room in the great (and Legal!) state of Oregon. Here's an overview of our room so far.
The dimensions of the room is 8.5' wide by 16' long with 8' ceiling height
There is also a 8.5' wide by 3' long closet on the back end of the room for storing nutients, water res, ect.
We caulked every nook and cranny to seal the room as good as possible. We painted the floors, wall, and ceiling with Zisser anti mold primer and then painted the room white. We hung 8 ceramic metal halide lights. They are the nanolux 630 watt ones. We have a 4 inch fan pulling in fresh air from outside thru a hepa filter, and an 8 inch fan blowing air out thru our carbon filter. We have a few wall mounted oscillating fans and a dehumidifier mounted up on the wall. We got a good deal on a 36,000 Btu mini split unit which we are still wiring in. We should have a HVAC guy out sometime next week to finish charging the unit. The house is currently using well water full of arsenic and iron so we are getting hooked up to city water and getting new plumbing soon.
I'm excited to grow with these CMH lights since I've always used metal halide and HPS. We will be using the CMH during veg and flowering.
Also, we will be growing in a coco medium using canna coco nutrients. This is our first grow in a long time so any advice or helpful tips would be appreciated. Anyone out there that has experience with these nanolux lights??? We will be doing a grow journal to track the process and keep you guys up to date on the trials and tribulations of this new room. Thanks in advance everyone!!!
