Busted...please help im scared :(

A guy in Colorado was just busted too. He is getting 5 years per felony. He had priors. The Feds were seeking 40 years. Colorado is a legal* state, Iowa is not, not that it matters on a Felony charge as it is not admissible in court. However it is my understanding that under the felony rules it is a MANDATORY 5 years...meaning you're going away for at least 5 years. And possible 10 for the the 2. Plus what ever the penalty for the misdemeanor is.

My advise: Get a lawyer. Get one now. Spend what ever he asks of you. Get one who has defended this charge before. Sell your car or what ever to pay for it. Your life has just changed forever. DO NOT take this lightly. With luck you will ONLY go away for 5 years and not more.

It is possible they got you on smell, or a someone ratted you out or they traced your IP address from reading this forum. Who knows.

Sadly I believe you could have grown 99 plants and under and gotten the same charges under the Feds.

Hey bro,sorry to hear,I am from Ames(GO CLONES)LOL,but anyway .If you have a decent record you will get a deffered judgment.You will definetly get probation,and whjat sucks is they weigh the whole plant,whether it is buds or not the whole thing gets counted as weight.As young as you are3 and with a good record you will just get prolly possesion with intent.They will try to get you to talk,DONT,it wont help you out at all.Just play the probation game,stay smart and you will be good,especially with only 3 plants,Good Luck,sucks to read shiot like this on here

i know i have strikes for growing/selling, i moved to a legal state and grow.
once upon a time i was a criminal now i just grow weed.

but he'll prob get some probation and fines.

Make sure u tell them your addicted to weed. You grow it because u dont want to go on the streets and buy it illegal. Your a student u made a very stupid mistake u have stopped using marjuana all together and focusing on your life.You tell the judge a criminal record will prevent u from getting a job in the future.

Study the law. I was caught with a bunch of chrons one day and got charged. I used all these techniques and asked the judge for an absolute discharge. He then offered my condition discharge. Since i studied the law i informed him that absolute results in 1 year probation and is wiped clean off your record while a conditional last for 3 years before being wiped off your criminal record. 3 years was just too long to wait for a job. The judge was not even aware of the punishment resulting in his rulings and seem very shocked. Made him look foolish infront of the lawyers, clerks and tape recording. He then stated "With the new turn of events i will grant you your absolute discharge" Its a loop hole which basicly means u plead guilty but youve never been convicted of a crime and then clears from your record

There are such bad people in the court system, when u plead your case the judge he will grant u mercy. He deals with asshole criminals all the time, So when he see's your trying to make something of your life and made one foolish decision he wont be an ass. Dress nice, Be polite. Address him as your honer or sir. Works everytime trust me

ohhhhhhh and completely forgot 3 years to the day, today st patricks day, i beat my charges. I celebrate every year with a big fat blunt and beers.

Sorry but that a lot of bad information.

man, if i had a nickel for everytime Ive been caught for shit and got out of it by being finding holes.. Ive been arrested for weed twice. small amounts but got "not guilty" vertict for both of them without a lawyer representing myself. I got out of a DUI by not blowing.. I have been arrested 4-5 times and never had 1 conviction.. You just need to understand the law and figure out the loop holes. Dude and believe me I know, thats probably the only thing thats running through ur mind right now.. Best advice I can give is be prepared. Obviously ur going to need a lawyer but you can help ur lawyer out if you yourself are aware of the law.. Learn to play the game and I bet you you'll be ok. Sorry to hear about that bud.. Im in school too and I know that shit must suck. Dont stress about it, just think about ways to help urself out when that day in court comes... Good luck bro.. And seriously most of u are just scaring the kid.. Stop over exagerating this shit.. You dont need to get off RIU it says in the websites disclamer that nothing on this site can be used against you by law enforcement.. Do research and understand the law is the best thing you can possibly do!!

dont sweat it,it will take a year or so to run through the courts but a good lawyer will get you through this without a felony charge. it will cost $5-10k or more but you will make that back quick enough.
every state is different but in NY,they weigh everything the first time,rootball and all to get the numbers up but when in court,only smokable product is weighed,this includes the leaves.

stupid ass shit... Your life is not over nor is it ruined.. Ur a student, the judge will understand ur young and made a mistake as most young ppl do and probably drop it to a misdemeanor
