I'm just wondering is there a way to save a plant that is suffering from this rate of decline?

Not an expert .. but doubt that those type looking leaves will recover... I always check the new growth... was told it would do more harm than good.. (due to possibly inviting pest) leaving them on the plant..

this was topped at it's 5th node what age is that? i believe 3-4 weeks
might be wrong on age I never really paid attention to it probably reasons i have problems

okay will trim it's the bottom leaves anyway and up the dosage of cal mag the bottle says 3-5 ml a gallon

Bingo I did check ppm and pH got this digital pH meter that keeps me screwed up I guess because it reads RO water at 6 using aquarium pH tester and 4-5.5 using meter and the stupid ppms were high like 1024 I got fresh water ppm'd at 600 pH'd at 5.8 and gave nutes guess i will have to see never had this problem b4 is it because it's Burmese?

@Skoal he doednt seem to be in soil. If he were, a soil test would be a good starting point. Loading on cal mag is shitty advice without info about Mg levels.

Electric meters can't really get a good pH reading on RO water since it's 0 PPM it should be a pH of 7. Never water with straight RO. Check pH after mixing nutrients. If you are going to water without feed you should add some calmag, a 150 - 200 ppm worth will do. Reliable meters are the way to go, otherwise you are better off with the pH test drops.

Straight RO literally strips calcium and magnesium. It's not good for the roots. If you are in a soil type medium it may hold enough residual PPM to let you get by with it. In something like straight perlite though he may end up starving the plant of calcium and/or magnesium.
Even drinking pure RO is bad for you as water is normally a good source of calcium. Can cause bone issues like osteoporosis and shit. I buy bottled spring water for drinking (Arrowhead Brand), never filtered drinking water.

Only if you're flushing then it's great for removing all minerals. That's bro-science bro. It doesn't strip it, it just doesn't supply it so when in hydro or soilless media like perlite you need to supplement with CalMag.
I've used nothing but RO or distilled water on my plants for almost 20 years and we also drink it and use it in the coffee maker to keep it running clean. My BUNN is 8 years old and still makes a full pot in under 3 min and has never been cleaned.
As to pH in RO or distilled neither has a real pH of it's own so only check pH after you've added nutes etc to it. Same with tap water too. Most nutes will lower pH so adjusting pH before adding them is futile. It's all the minerals in hard water that mess up your grow tho they may be good for your personal growth. As yopur plants drink the water the minerals get left behind and buildip to toxic levels so lots of runoff or an occasional flush is good to prevent that.

Agreed, not to mention high levels of cal-carbonate in tap can increase the likely hood of developing kidney stones. My tap contains almost 300 ppm of cal-carbonate alone. I had to have an emergency appendectomy a year ago last Dec and 2 days after I got home I suddenly got a horrible pain on my left side. Just got worse and worse and as I'd just had surgery thought something with it had gone horribly wrong so called an ambulance. 5 miles from the hospital the pain went through the roof and I was howling like a wolf. Then nothing. Felt fine.
Found out that the CAT scan I had that found the bad appendix also noted a 4mm, non-obstructive kidney stone but nobody said squat to me about it. Guess it became obstructive eh.
I felt it when I pissed it out too and wish I'd thought to piss through a sieve to save the stone. Would have made a nice earring stud. lol
Not something I ever want to do again and was likely brought on by almost 3 days of severe dehydration from the shits I got from the IV antibiotics they were pumping into me. That was hell too and I had to endure 8 days of that. Getting the drain tube pulled out of my lower belly at the end was no picnic either.
Our tap water is over 400ppm and around pH 8 and comes from a dugout on my property so only gets filtered down to 5 micron with no sterilization. Don't want to be drinking that or watering my plants with it either.
