okay guys i bought a meter that test the ph in the soil....yes...yes..you guuys where right ph in the soil was way to high it was at a high 8...now i also bought something that lowers the ph in the soil(Espoma organic soil acidifier) i hope this helps...so i put this on my girls now when i test the soil i put the meter near the stem i get 7.0 then when i move it father apart it goes to 7.5 i just add this, this mornig you guys think i can add more of this in the evening to get that .5 down...what's the deal when i move the meter...also how can check if i have root rot i think my girls might have that problem...

I wouldn't go flooding it with the new stuff you bought, give it a couple days to level off.

I didn't see anybody ask if you had drainage in those bags, if you don't, the roots could be steaming themselves down at the bottom with your hot weather (not to mention drowning.).

hey yea so basically what you did was you bought a buffer. the reason its giving you different readings at different depths/locations, is becuase its not mixed in well. Other then mixing it by hand with the soil before you plant in it, really the only other way to mix it around is to water, and give it time. Granted, you have a plant in there so you shouldnt over water.

And yea, give it time, dont flood it with the buffer. test it every day, and see if your getting closer to where ya wanna be, but you dont have to go from 8 to 6.5 in one day. let it be gradual so theres less shock

And someone posted water pH doesnt mean shit, its all about the soil pH, well yea kinda. once the soil is at 6.5, you dont worry about it much anymore. Really, it should have been 6.5 at the start, and then the only way pH would be off, is from the nutrients added in. either way, the roots grow in wet soil, being thorough is best.

First off, you can forget about trying to reinvigorate these with N at this stage of their life cycle. Secondly, until a leaf turns dead brown, the plant is still extracting nutrients from it. Thirdly, the plants look like they simply have not been exposed to enough direct sunlight for a vigorous growth/flowering cycle. Possibly they have been over-watered as well. I do not believe you have a nutrient problem.

Also, checking pH in a soil grow is an absolute wasted effort...assuming you are using a standard mix.

Well from my personal experience plants that have so many leaves tend to shed them off in 2-3 weeks of flowering, such as mine do but they do stop shedding when
the right flower/leaf ratio is there,if i had vegged my plants longer they would look the same way.I have one 1 1/2ft plant that shed of a lot of leaves and even had
more leaves than my outdoor plants(4-5ft).

water Ph dosent mean shit, unless that water contains a buffer the soil will buffer the water to its PH so initially the PH will be off for about 15 min and then it will settle back down to whatever the soil is...so yeah PHing your water/nutrient solution (in a soil grow) is pointless

he just said that his PH was at 8...thats way to high and he is blocking out key nutes, so you my friend are wrong....it is worth getting that PH balanced and letting them plants absorb some N, i wouldnt go adding a bunch more but a plant still utilizes N(itrogen) throughout its entire grow cycle.

prune that plant give it a really good hair cut. Take out the bottom parts of the plant down to the stem. When the plant bounces back you will notice explosive growth.
