can i put a clone straight into soil??

I've done that and had mixed results, it's a gamble.
I'm guessing that when the clone did well it was because mom had issues with my soil mix.
 
Just be careful not to infect your other girls. Might want to keep her quarentined until you know for sure.

It all depends on the soil not having to much nuks into it and then making it wet but not toi much and place under cfl or window light at room temperature
