I guess I might order some of those hanging nets, so if I end up with large colas again, i can pull of the individual buds and dry them in the nets.

In the future try to cut them down to thumb size. Always individual buds. I've learned the hard way about this... last thing you want is your hard work an time wasted. Sorry for your loss.
