No, No, the deer dies of exhaustion, not the person.
There is no animal which can outrun a human, humans are the best runners on the planet, by a wide wide margin.
By outrun I mean distance, in short bursts of speed there are many animals which can go faster for a short period, but nothing can go as far or for as long.

Crossbow for me. I generalized to get Canna's goat a bit there (Is there a joke there? I feel like there may be.). That's only for deer and the various domestic critters I've kept about. I'd never chase down anything more threatening than a deer.

You want to see some insane hunting, look up african bushmen. I've chased deer in hilly areas, and it's pretty easy. Try chasing a gazelle across flat country until it can't run anymore though. Those guys are insane.

I don't know if I'm just lucky, but up here the deer don't seem to run too far before the slow down or pause. It's more bursts of jogging while you keep them sprinting. We're one of the few mammals that have a liquid cooling system, so we have the advantage.
Well yeah, an untrained human can't run more than a mile before collapsing.
The last deer I ran down ( and the only) was running from posted neighbor land, across the dirt road to my land, that area still hasn't been reduced so it's chock full of brambles and fallen trees and real hard shit to get through. So this is a target of opportunity since it was a really nice looking buck and I didn't have my rifle ready, but I always leave my Glock 17L under the seat in the Cruiser. I jumped out and ran as fast as I could toward the deer which is running diagonally to me and has not seen me yet. Once he got within 25 meters I started aiming in, but its just so fucking hard to do that well while running, so I just ran as fast as I could to close as much distance as possible and then stopped and got correctly stanced. Bam! Got him right in the neck with the first shot and down he went, it wasn't perfectly clean so I gave him another to the neck and he passed.
Cuul Starry Brah, but it was only 100 meters at the most I had to run.
Precisely! And with 2 legs to run on, much more efficient than 4, coupled with the lack of insulating fur, we rule the running world
It is insane, you need great tracking skills too, because the gazelle might get 2 miles ahead of you when it turns and runs before it has to rest. No GPS trackers on them.

Funny you said that. I just made my 1st one mile, at a run, in 20 years, last night. I had to work it up after a long, long illness.

I'm comfortable with individuals having the ability to associate with others on a consensual basis of all parties concerned. I'm not a fan of coercive governments since what they purport to "protect" people from is actually the first tactic they employ. Almost all governments rely on coercion and lies. That's not a good foundation to use to empower some people over others.

Voluntary donations are logical and follow the actual meaning of the word "donation". Involuntary "donations" , are oxymoronic, thus in full government compliance as they have a large helping of dissonance, hypocrisy and coercion.
What you term "charity" or "donations" are often extractions via threats of violence. They are illogical and have been euphemized by your leaders and baited with a worm to catch suckers. You really should get a pair of pliers and remove that hook, line and sinker from your mouth as it will only disturb the other fish in the Prussian Schools. Peace.
