Thanks for the input guys. I intend to let her go for a bit. I want to top and clone this puppy soon as it’s the last seed of this strain I have.

Now to switch topics here sadly, I need a second tent. I’m looking at either the iPower 32x32 which is my current veg tent. Or going a vivosun 48x24. I could go vivosun 36x36 but don’t want to crowd my storage area in the basement. Planning on flowering 2-3 plants at the same time.

The one issue I noticed on my iPower tent, the only issue is the pinholes that are present around stitching for the pouch on the inside or the seams. Now I’m not too concerned as this is my veg tent and from 7am-1pm that storage area is usually dark cause no one is home. Should I stick with the iPower as a second tent for flower or should I go vivosun. I am on a budget. Don’t wanna buy a super expensive tent. But I don’t want those pinholes to cause hermies in my flower tent. Which tent would be the better of the two? IPower or vivosun? Is the pinholes a huge issue for flower? Lastly, should I go 32x32, 48x24, or 36x36.

I ask this now because I plan on ordering a vivosun 4 inch fan for exhaust for the veg tent and may as well get the flower tent bought a tent the same time to get free shipping.

I didn't measure anything, it was in a cup of water though, with maybe a 1/2-1 teaspoon of powder. The powder settles at the bottom, but didn't seem to need a stirring after the first stir, although I did after awhile.

Have a look at apollo tents too, they are made really well and are comparable in price.

I was going to buy an Apollo before I settled for my iPower. I’ll orobably go the same size 32x32. Or 36x36 to be honest. Said no to Apollo because the connectors were plastic not metal.

My concern is the pin holes. If the Apollo or viosun have them. How big of an issue will those pin holes be for a flowering tent?

So I did install the exhaust fan. 4 inch duct booster fan. Not really working too well. Temps fully closed with bottom two vents open still hovering around 32. Thinking I’m going to go a 6 inch fan and run some actual duct work on the inside and outside. I didn’t run any duct work on the fan. I just installed it to see how well it would work. Paid $50 for it. Gonna be returning it and buying a 6inch from amazon for $32.

Figured I would post an update of my girl.

Did a full watering yesterday. Humidity is increasing. The temps are stabilized. I have the 430CFM fan on a controller coming from amazon for $80. Night time temps were a bit cold cause I have vents open. Will close vents once the new fan comes.

Photo was taken an hour after lights on. Plant has a blemish still on leaf. Not getting worse so I’m not too concerned. But I do think I’m going to be fertilizing soon.

She’s looking pretty good. I am happy. I think I should be!

So I harvested my first “legal” grow last night. Pretty pumped even though the one plant is absolute garbage and full of nanners. The other one looks pretty decent though. Very excited to get my next two flowering now that I have a better idea of what to do.

Did you wet trim ?

how are you drying?

im at the stage now where im trying to figure out how im gonna harvest and how im gonna dry lol

Dry in the flower tent. Best environment there.

@Brettman it’s been a rough start that’s for sure. Glad I got it all dialed in. Just need the fan and I should be good. I truly hate MH lights though.

Flower tent has other, more important uses lol

Last resort I may use the tent, but would really prefer to not lose that week for drying

I'm harvesting mine now bit by bit. I just cut off enough to take me an hour or two to trim up at a time. I do my final trimming fresh off the plant then put the buds in doubled paper bags to slow dry down in the cold basement. Dumped out daily for a bit of air the first week then less as time goes on. 43F now down there so it takes 3 weeks or so to dry them down enough that I can put them in jars for burping. Even then they need to be dumped out to air dry a bit as they are still moist enough to to form a big clump.

For jars I use plastic tobacco cans that have smooth walls inside so when half full of a big mass of buds stuck together the whole mass slides out easily into a tray and can be carefully broken up, air-dried for 30 min then back in the can. By checking the weight I can tell by the daily weight drop when it's getting safe to air-dry less often. I've done it this way for years so can just tell by the feel and smell how they are doing. No fancy bovida packs or hydrometers needed.

The real curing goes on during the early drying phase when the chlorophyll breaks down so the buds end up a nice golden brown colour and burn really smooth. Drying in the bags makes sure nothing dries at a different level like it does by hanging first. All the buds lose moisture gradually so the outside doesn't dry before the insides do. Smells so nice in the jars as well.

@diggs99 yes I have always wet trimmed. I kept them on the branches this time and hung them in the flower tent. First time I’ve ever hung, ive always used an old window screen to set them on. The definitely do squish flat if you dry that way.

Not sure how I missed this post, very informative and absolutely beautiful weed man.

It's good to see how a bunch of people do it, everyone has their own little tricks or ways. It also helps newbies decide what way would best serve their situation

Back in the day when I trimmed I would cut off the major fan leaves. Hang upside down. Once dried I would then do the final trim. And then off to jars and burning. Mind you that’s what I did back in 2008 and haven’t grown since till now haha.
