I agree, we need a Canadian sub-forum. Unfortunately, from reading a lot of threads, I am finding there's a whole lotta Canuck haters on here. Not sure why though.

Any Canada friendly mods out there who could help us out?

Every now and then someone brings it up, but things don't change around here much. I would not hold my breath, you could pm a super mod like Potroast and ask or start a thread to get it done.

What I want to know, is once i have my Health Insurance Card in hand and I print the applications and fill them out to the best of my ability, Is it possible to bring said applications with the proof of injury from my military service to a GP and request a signature? Would it be unheard of to do? or is said action okay !? I will smoke 1 to ponder my situation :-)

I have been suffering from severe lower back/Leg pain for over 4 years now. Back about 6 months ago, I told my DR that I was considering switching to MMJ for treatment, because the meds were just not working. He told me about the process and we started. He has signed the forms for patients before, but was not willing to do so until we jumped through all the hoops. First thing he did was book me an appointment with my chronic pain specialist (who I had been seeing on and off for 4 years) . Then he get me a recent CT scan, and x rays.. Did a few months of Physio, and about a month ago he signed off on a prescription for 3g/d. I applied to grow myself, and plan on starting off with a small closet CFL grow.

After reading this thread however, I wish I had found it 3 weeks ago when I finished filling out my application. The "Checklist" near the beginning of the thread would have helped. I have a feeling my application will be delayed. I didn't do to bad, but missed at least two things.


-Don't forget to fill out the seed request form's even if your not going to
use their seeds. How else are you legally going to get them. Nudge nudge wink
wink. - This I did not do because it said on the front page of the form E2 Application to Obtain Marihuana Seeds "This form is to be completed by applicants who wish to obtain marihuana seeds only from Health Canada who either:.. bla bla" I figured the key word here was Wish.. I dont Wish to grow your schwag tyvm govnt.. ??

Anyone know what the process is, if you app is not "Complete"? Will they call me? send me a letter? :wall:

They will send it back to you but don't let that stop you, get growing now. By the time you get your card you can bring in a crop. As for the legal side once the Dr signs off and you have proof that Health Canada has it (delivery receipt) your good to go. A case in Toronto set the precedent a couple years ago.
