It should eliminate majority of them. The thing you need to do is give the pyrethrin time to kill them bugs in order to do that you have to spray with the lights off as pyrethrin is broken down my lights in two hours.
Good to know, my understanding was that the optic foliar transport would make it safe to the plants with lights on, I never thought about the pyrethrins degrading because of the light.

Optic Foliar is just a Yuka based wetting agent. I can get that exact some combo sold to a different industry at 10x cheaper :) I buy that and break down a bigger bottle and that's how I sell it in my store.

Quote from a California PDF file

Clearly evident in figure 4 is that under dark conditions, there is little degradation of pyrethrins over time, however in the light there is rapid degradation from 100% to less than 1% within 5 hours.

Awesome thread. Trying to Google Canadian suppliers is such a pain. Keep getting American sites that don't or can't ship to Canada. Even Amazon.ca tried to order gro-kashi and it got held at the border. Thanks
Oh and Tad Hussey from KIS Organics told me about Black Swallow living soils.
Ask for Rob.

let us know when you are up and running,,and the free shipping
Hoping today latest tomorrow still debating free shipping level. On nutrients its one thing, on hardware its another especially electronics like ballasts and nutrient meters where failure rate is high and super long warranties but this site is strictly for nutrients and water equipment I'll be working on the main site right after I launch this one as the other site will be much bigger and more features and content.

So 1am last might I just got the logo uploaded and ready to make the site live and doing some final adjustments and woops wipped out about a 100 products in the bulk editor lol Had a back up from two days ago but it only partially restores the products so now have to go though each product, attach images to it and set the prices and product weights. Good times... but will be done today

I just realized there are clone places on the list

has anyone ordered from https://mitsys.ca/
i did a bit of looking and I think it has a couple bad reviews on yelp https://www.yelp.ca/biz/mitsy-budds-moncton
the yelp page says moncton but the reviews seem like they are about the clone site
I saw a post on reddit that's why I added it but I don't know of anyone getting clones. I haven't seen anyone get clones in Canada yet.
Cheers

Been doing some research all day (pretty sick of reading and googling) and testing test orders to different provinces and definitely free shipping below $200 in purchase amount is not sustainable for nutrients (weight of product makes the cost huge vs items in larger box but 1/3 weight) unless I list everything at MSRP which is what most Canadian retailers seem to be doing. Looking at CP and Fedex discounts even if I met the bigger discounts levels I'd still have to list stuff at MSRP to make even an online store sustainable. I did get hooked up with a shipping company that got me 20% saving from UPS and Canpar over my current account.

So I'm looking at these options

#1 raise prices 10% to match other stores and change free shipping to $200 maybe still keep $150

#2 Lower the nutrients price of 4L products by 30% off MSRP and 1L by 20% and charge shipping. To customer the final price would be pretty much the same with free shipping, also makes the price lower than 80% of retailers out there. After doing some test runs this would make the profit margin sustainable on nutrients. I would offer free shipping site wide on certain items like RO machines or C02/PH/TDS meters where I made descent profit margins. The shipping across Canada would be no more than $20 per each item and can be absorbed by the profit or keep the price of those items also low and charge shipping. So would a user go for a cheaper price + pay for shipping or much bigger product cost + free shipping.

Personally I would rather make a bigger order, and receive free shipping...that just my 2cents
